Thanks Patrick and Arthur we really enjoyed our stay at the little house in Salem would definitely recommend it
We had a great experience with Patrick Sargent. He mailed us keys in advance along with good directions to the site. Upon arrival we found fresh milk and orange juice in the fridge,a crate of bottled water, as well as pastries and cookies on the table, and a bunch of informational material regarding the area including personal endorsements. The apartment was exceptionally clean, with functioning air conditioner in dining room and master bedroom. There was a nice spacious kitchen including a big stove which made it easy to prepare meals. We also appreciated the coffee machine and coffee. Train station was close by and it was a short walk to downtown Salem and Waterfront. It was easy to get into Boston and to take strolls through Salem. We would stay there again! Thank you!
We rented this unit in Salem, MA to attend my son's wedding. The house we rented met and exceeded all our expectations: super clean, comfortable, the air conditioning units (2 small ones) came in very handy as it was hot and humid this time of year. Mr. Sargent had fresh pastry and milk in the refrigerator, coffee, sugar, and all the little things to get you started when we first arrived. We want to thank him for his great hospitality and the accommodations. Everything described in the posting was accurate and true. We walked to downtown Salem (even thou we had a car) and were able to get food or groceries withing minutes of the location. The neighborhood was also great: never had problem finding parking, there are no parking restrictions (maybe street cleaning) very quiet at night, definitely a great choice for our needs, and I wouldn't hesitate to use again or to recommend it to friends and Airb&b users.
We communicated online with Patrick prior to our stay, during and afterward, but it was his father, Arthur, who greeted us upon our arrival. He showed us around the apartment and it surpassed our expectations.
The Sargents attention to detail is superb. Not only was the apple crumb cake delicious, but the on-hand staples such as coffee, milk and olive oil along with the brochures, maps, and tourist information made our visit effortless and carefree.
We'll definitely return to this great Salem apartment - hopefully for longer than one week! :)
Patrick was a wonderful host. The apartment was clean and there was even a few goodies provided to start our stay. Patrick was promt throughout the reservation process with any questions. Keys were mailed to me in a timely manor. Apartment was a short walk from downtown. I would recommend this location and will most likely be staying again.
Highly recommend this apartment. It is clean, cozy, large and well-stocked. The
location is great. The owner is helpful and friendly. I hope to have the
chance to return.
We've had a great time in Salem. The house is lovely and very cozy, clean and well equipped, much better than in pictures. The area is very quiet and well situated for visiting the coast and the city of Boston. We want to thank Patrick and his father, Arthur, their hospitality and kindness.
P. D. The muffins were very good, thanks.
