Distinctive large luxury guest house with all amenities overlooking the Loldaiga hills in Laikipia's wilderness 26km from Nanyuki town. Great for walking and relaxation with quiet privacy far from the madding crowd. Built and designed by Claire and her husband Rod, a really unique bush home with a great feel and huge emphasis placed on comfort in all the rooms provided. The sound of the river and birds offering tranquility for those that just want to get away.

The space
Podo cottages are situated in a stunning bush setting on the Nanyuki river which is an unexpected hidden sanctuary a short drive from Nanyuki town. Quiet and totally private a place to come and unwind and enjoy the beauty of the homestead and all it has to offer. A perfect stop over if you are going to Sosian or Loisaba ranches from Nairobi via Nanyuki and you want to break the journey.

We live on a private cattle ranch in close proximity to Ol Pejeta which is 30 mins drive from Podo Cottages. Great for biking birding and walking.

I am a pilot and run my own private flying safaris throughout East Africa. I do this from my base here in Laikipia. Rod my husband grows roses for export and together we have built our home which we share with our sons. I am passionate about the bush and wildlife and and have many other interests including cheese making which I do using my own herd of dairy goats. Kenya is our home and the country we love. There is no better place to live.
