Some info has been automatically translated.
Guest House FUKUMOTO has been popular with the locals as a restaurant with the Fukumoto family name since my grandparents' generation. Now it has been reborn as a private house, and one room has been renovated. This is a private room in a house where the owner lives (not a private rental).
It has been featured in house design magazines since its construction, and features an open and bright house space with skylights on the 1st and 2nd floors and unique stainless steel stairs. The second floor living room overlooks the city of Manazuru and Manazuru Port.

It is about a 13-minute walk from Manazuru Station and about a 3-minute walk to Manazuru Port. There are many tourist attractions nearby, such as Yugawara-cho with hot springs, Atami, Odawara, Hakone, and Izu.

At our house, we aim to be an environmentally friendly house that does not use chemicals as much as possible, considering the natural environment of Manazuru, and all the water in the house is treated to a high quality. We also offer high-end organic shampoo, treatment, and body soap. If you wish, we can provide breakfast made with special ingredients.

The space
The "SUN" room can accommodate up to 3 people. For 3 people, you will use the regular sofa as a sofa bed. Located on the first floor of a two-story building, on sunny days, the morning sun comes in well, and you can bathe in comfortable light (there are blackout curtains, so it does not interfere with your sleep). For a pleasant and comfortable stay, all beds, comforters, pillows, sheets, towels, and slippers are of high quality from MUJI. The duvet is a 0.8 kg down comforter made of 80% white duck down (thin down comforter in the summer) for a very comfortable rest.
There is also air conditioning and a TV.
Indoor amenities include bath towels, face towels, and toothbrushes.

Where you’ll be

Manazuru, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan

Maizuru is a natural harbor town that has established its own aesthetic standards to protect the town's scenery and nature, and is known as a "beautiful town". Known as the "Amalfi of the East", its compact yet beautiful scenery has attracted the attention of university researchers.

Manazuru Port, Manazuru Peninsula, and Mitsuishi are ideal for beach combing, fishing, diving, nature walks, walking, barbecues, and more. I recommend restaurants serving fresh local seafood. The peninsula can be walked around (there is also a bus). The sunrise from Sagami Bay in the early morning is exceptional. You can also walk across the famous Mitsuishi at low tide, for an extraordinary experience.

Every year on July 27th and 28th, the Kisen Festival, one of Japan's three major boat festivals and an important intangible cultural asset of the country, is held. It has a history of about 300 years and is crowded with tourists.

Mazuru Castle Park is a 5-minute walk from Mazuru Station. Every year in the spring, the "Shidare Sakura no Utage" is held, where you can see the elegant Shidare Sakura.

There are also many day-use hot springs in Yugawara and Atami in the neighboring town.

Next to Nefukagawa Station is the Odawara Art Foundation's Enoura Observatory, which is attracting attention from both Japan and abroad. Built by the world-famous Hiroshi Sugimoto, the vast site is dotted with galleries, tea rooms, stone stages, optical glass stages, fossil caves, gates, and more, and can be visited while overlooking Sagami Bay (reservation and rotation system).
