[Confirmation required!Owner-occupied property] “Guest House FUKUMOTO” was a popular local eatery under the name “Fukumoto” during my grandparents' time.It has now been transformed into a residential house. This is a private room in a house where the owner also lives (it is not an entire house).
When it was first built, the house was even featured in a home design magazine. It features an open, bright interior with a skylight above the atrium on the first and second floors, as well as a distinctive stainless-steel staircase. From the second-floor living room, you can enjoy views of the Manazuru townscape and Manazuru Port.

The property is located about a 13-minute walk from Manazuru Station and about a 3-minute walk from Manazuru Port.In the surrounding area, there are many tourist destinations, including Yugawara-machi with its hot springs, Atami, Odawara, Hakone, and Izu.

At our house, we take Manazuru's natural environment into consideration and aim to be an environmentally friendly house where all the water in the house is treated to a high standard and where the use of chemical products is avoided as much as possible. We also provide high-end organic shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.If you wish, we provide breakfast with thoughtful ingredients at our service.

We provide free shuttle service to and from the sauna and hot spring facility in Yugawara Onsen. There will be a separate facility usage fee.

The space
This room can accommodate up to 3 people. For 3 people, the regular sofa will be used as a sofa bed.Located on the first floor of a two-story building, the morning sun comes in well on sunny days, and you can enjoy the pleasant light (there is a shade curtain, so it will not disturb your sleep). To make your stay comfortable, we use high-quality, unbranded products for all beds, futons, pillows, sheets, towels, and slippers. The futon is a 0.8 kg feather futon with 80% white duck down (thin feather futon in summer), so you can sleep very comfortably.
Air conditioning and television are also available.
Bath towels, face towels, and toothbrushes are provided as in-room amenities.

Where you’ll be

Manazuru, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan

Maizuru is a natural harbor town that has established its own aesthetic standards to protect the town's scenery and nature, and is known as a "beautiful town". Known as the "Amalfi of the East", its compact yet beautiful scenery has attracted the attention of university researchers.

Manazuru Port, Manazuru Peninsula, and Mitsuishi are ideal for beach combing, fishing, diving, nature walks, walking, barbecues, and more. I recommend restaurants serving fresh local seafood. The peninsula can be walked around (there is also a bus). The sunrise from Sagami Bay in the early morning is exceptional. You can also walk across the famous Mitsuishi at low tide, for an extraordinary experience.

Every year on July 27th and 28th, the Kisen Festival, one of Japan's three major boat festivals and an important intangible cultural asset of the country, is held. It has a history of about 300 years and is crowded with tourists.

Mazuru Castle Park is a 5-minute walk from Mazuru Station. Every year in the spring, the "Shidare Sakura no Utage" is held, where you can see the elegant Shidare Sakura.

There are also many day-use hot springs in Yugawara and Atami in the neighboring town.

Next to Nefukagawa Station is the Odawara Art Foundation's Enoura Observatory, which is attracting attention from both Japan and abroad. Built by the world-famous Hiroshi Sugimoto, the vast site is dotted with galleries, tea rooms, stone stages, optical glass stages, fossil caves, gates, and more, and can be visited while overlooking Sagami Bay (reservation and rotation system).
