Where you’ll be

Stanthorpe, Queensland, Australia

At 1000 metres elevation, the air feels fresher, and the sky more blue on the Granite Belt. Discover a landscape of dramatic beauty and diversity with four distinct seasons – log fires (and occasional snow) in winter and cool summer nights where you can escape the heat of greater Queensland. Explore our unique National Parks where giant granite formations emerge from thick forests. There are wonderful wines to taste and local food to enjoy. Trails to walk or cycle and the Pyramid to climb. The beautiful little town of Stanthorpe is home to a range of cafes, boutique stores and galleries, all surrounded by farmlands, fruit orchards and vineyards waiting to be explored.

“There is nothing quite like the Granite Belt. It’s part of Queensland, but it’s a different country.”
