A tasteful fully-decorated 950 sf apartment in an amenity-filled, brand-new building located one block from NoMa metro stop.
This one-bedroom apartment (with additional inflatable double and sofa in LR) is in a 2-year old modern building in the heart of DC. The location is fabulous and yet private: you can walk to the National Mall, Union Station, the Convention Center, NPR headquarters, and more; metro anywhere in the area; or use an on-premises Zipcar or Capital Bike Share cycle to go anywhere in the city. The apartment is neat, well-designed, and upscale and you'll be comfortable here. Children are welcome, but I don't have a crib available, sorry.
Make yourself at home in the apartment and building with state-of-the-art amenities: deluxe gym, full kitchen, rooftop pool, hot tub, sauna. Well-equipped cook's kitchen, Wi-Fi, HDTV; access to everything you'll need to enjoy your stay. And the building has great common areas for hanging out on the first floor and in the courtyard, plus an amazing, shiny new gym and a truly special rooftop pool, outdoor dining area, and hot-tub/sauna just inside from the pool. You'll use an electronic key-fob to get into the building and use the amenities.

Right in the heart of NoMa and voted the best apartment community in DC, the area is highly walkable, with a CVS, Starbuck and high-end grocery right on the corner. It's safe, convenient, and offers best of city living with resort-hotel amenities.
Since NPR moved in to their new HQ building in 2013 NoMa (North of Massachusetts Ave.) has become one of DC's hot new neighborhoods. This building and others around are among the city's coolest, most modern eco-friendly apartment buildings. There's a protected cycletrack (like a bike lane, but without the possibility of cars coming into it) on First St NE outside, and you can easily get around. The grocery store across the street and Union Market within a few blocks will definitely give you everything you want if you want to cook in, and Union Market, H St NE, Shaw and Mt. Vernon Square are all destinations with great bars and restaurants within walking or biking distance. Highly walkable neighborhood in a perfect location, one block from metro, 10 minutes walk from Union Station, and Zipcars on premises.
The building is very strict about a few crucial things:
(1) it's a non-smoking building. That means absolutely no smoking from apartments or on the property. There are smokers who live in the building but they know they need to take it (far) outside!
(2) You must wear resident or guest wristbands (which I'll give you) to access the rooftop. Also, no glass at the rooftop. This is very much enforced.
(3) After 10 p.m., you can only enter from the front door, and you always need a key fob to get in, use the elevators, and access the gym and rooftop
