Beckside Guest House - Situated in the historic town of Keswick, Cumbria. Beckside was built in 1879 from Lakeland slate, its current owners Tracey and Andrew Graham offer all year round, all en suite, non smoking accommodation. Ideally situated in a peaceful Victorian terrace it is almost adjacent to the Greta River and the scenic Fitz Park where the most magnificent Mountain views can be enjoyed.
Beckside is a short walk to the Keswick town centre where all the modern facilities are available. Derwentwater is less than a 15 minute walk away, where you can visit Theatre by the Lake so as you can see Beckside is an ideal base for your holiday in the Lake District of England.

We couldn't have asked for more! Andrew and Tracey were so warm and welcoming, we arrived very late in the evening and they made us feel so relaxed and at home, we had a good nights rest and the traditional English breakfast was a real treat.
Thank you Andrew and Tracey!***
Wonderful guest house. Great location. Very friendly and accommodating host.
We very happily recommend Beckside Guest House, although we were initially hesitant. Keswick and the northern side of the Lakes are a great place to stay and Beckside is reasonably well located, a little under 10 minutes from the town square and another 10 minutes to the very pretty Lake Derwentwater. We knew Beckside is a commercial BnB, which is not the usual airbnb model. But the room was on the small side, the furniture basic pine, and the ensuite such a size that the hand basin is in the bedroom. We soon came to appreciate the sunny aspect, good storage, fast WiFi and, albeit small, television. Tracey and Andrew more than made up for any short comings. They provided a spectacular breakfast, kept the place scrupulously clean, changed the towels and fixed the rooms daily, support Fair Trade and the local theatre, and did all they could to be helpful.
Hi Ken, thanks for your -in places positive review, however, we would like to make clear to other travellers that the "basic pine furniture" was actually hand made locally hence the glass tops to protect the surface,
As for the room size we are a Victorian terraced house which was built in 1878 so the house is 136 years old, hence sinks in the bedroom in some rooms
The television in the room was selected as not to be too intrusive (19") as anything larger would overpower the room- why not try a 5* hotel?
We do not advertise anything on our website that we do not deliver, and we work extremely hard to deliver the service and standards we offer.
