  • David hosted a wonderful stay for us for our recent trip to Barcelona. The most perfect location, out of the tourist areas but still amongst the hype and our particular favourite, the El Born area. The apartment was clean, comfortable and made you feel right at home amongst the Spanish lifestyle. Extras such as hot and cold drinks and bathroom products were a lovely touch. Communication was great, David's response was immediate and any problems were sorted before we could even mention them. Would not hesitate to come back - we wanted to keep it! Thanks again David for making our stay so easy and enjoyable. All the best, Cara and Jon.

  • This is a lovely apartment. David is the ultimate host having thought off everything you might need. The kitchen is beautifully outfitted. He left many extras not expected like tea, coffee, OJ, milk Cava and special cookies as well as personal amenities. The location is just perfect - very close to Picasso museum - easy walk around El Born and the Old quarter as well as the port and beach. We felt very safe in the evening. The only warning is that second floor apartment really means on the fourth floor (here the third floor is called primero ad the fourth secundo). We are retired and this was a little challenging but by the end of the week we were improving and able to get up by the time the light switched off. Highly recommend David and this apartment.

  • It was a real pleasure to stay (2 adults and 2 teenagers from 17 to 21 August 2013) in David's apartment!
The apartment is very well located between El Born and Bario Gotic, 2 minutes from the Picasso Museum.
Complies in all respects to the description on the site, it is very nice and super equipped, nothing is missing and the beds are very comfortable.
David takes special care to accommodate guests (cold drinks await you in a refrigerator).
We loved being in contact with him before, during and after the trip: it was always readily available to inform us, even though he was absent due to vacation in the USA!
Without any hesitation, we will return to David at our next come to Barcelona!

  • Great apartment. Beautifully furnished, very clean, very secure, excellent location in a friendly area of Barcelona with lots of fab bars, shops and restaurants.
Communication was excellent with lots of recommendations and tips.
We had a wonderful time and would love to stay here again when we next visit Barcelona.
The extra touches such as cava, water, juice and milk in the fridge, an espresso maker, A/C, extra bedding, toiletries were a lovely bonus.

Glad you enjoyed The flat and Barcelona!! It was a real pleasure to have you as guests. Thanks.

  • Fabulous place to stay. Right in the heart of the best place in Barcelona. Easy to walk to so many places - Picasso museum and cathedral just around the corner. The apartment is modern inside with everything you could ever need for your stay in Barcelona. It was truly tastefully decorated. David and Francios are great hosts. Francios would have spent an hour talking to us about he history of the city, where to go, who to go with, where to eat and the precautions we might need to take. We felt very comfortable. We could not fault this place or its hosts in any way! We can't wait to go back.

  • We stayed for three nights in David's flat. It was exactly what we were looking for and the location couldn't have been any better. Just on the outside of where all the other tourists were. Everything we needed was right outside our door. We didn't have time to do any cooking in the flat but it was certainly well stocked!
David was very helpful, responded to emails really quickly, and made sure we had everything we needed. I'll definitely stay here on my next trip to Barcelona.

  • We felt very welcome at David's apartment for the 3 days we stayed there. The whole place is perfectly clean and well maintained. The kitchen has everything you might need and we especially liked the personal tips for good restaurants! The neighbourhood is great with lots of nice bars, restaurants and little boutiques just around the corner. Great place :)

  • We could not ask for a better location, host or apartment! David was very responsive during t

he booking stage, provided great information prior to arrival, helped us settle in and stayed in touch while we were there. The apartment was just as it looked in the pictures and was very well stocked. David provided coffee, juice and croissants to get us started and many markets are near by. There is a wonderful restaurant directly across from the front door (thanks, David, for the recommendation) and a tapas bar recommended by Rick Steves at the end of the street. The location is ideal for seeing the wonderful city. We walked to most of the major attractions and had easy access to the metro for the rest. The metro is easy to use and we took full advantage of its close proximity to the apartment. I re-read all the the great reviews of the apartment after we returned to the states, and all of them are completely true. The apartment was quiet and the bed was very comfortable, providing needed rest after our full days exploring the city. The stairs would be a challenge for anyone with health issues, but we did not find them a challenge. I highly recommend David's apartment for his hospitality, the location and the great comfort of the place.

  • Pros. Excellent apartment. Very clean and modern. Great selection of dvds and board games made our evenings in pleasurable.

David was very good as a remote host in constant communication before and during our stay.

Cons. 4 flights of stairs might be an issue for older travellers and apartment windows a little on the small side.

Overall I would definitely recommend David and his apartment!

  • This was a perfect airbnb experience - just the way it should be: David is always in contact (before the trip and during the visit as well), the apartment is very clean and cozy, it does look as good as the pictures show it (even better) and it has everything you need (from fast WiFi, TV, DVD, kitchen ware etc. to towels, hairdryer, umbrella and toiletries). There were 5 of us staying there for 7 nights (3 adults and 2 boys: 4 years old and 10 months old) and we all slept well on 2 comfortable beds and 1 babybed, provided by David. Everything worked just fine, it was warm enough for the baby in the apartment with the heaters, there'(email hidden) as well. We cooked all the meals we needed and especially enjoyed coffee in the morning (there's a nespresso machine) with fresh croissants and baguettes from across the street!
The location of the apartment is absolutely perfect - we walked everywhere from gorgeous Citadel park around the corner to the sea, Aquarium, Maremagnum shopping center and Barcelonetta, and to Gothic quarter and placa de Catalunya as well. There's a great farmers market with fresh food right next to it too. And the atmosphere of El Born district itself is absolutly magical!
David is such a welcoming and caring host, that we felt like we came to visit our good friends! We definitelly want to come again! SO don't even look at other places and book this one, if you are lucky and it is still free for your dates ))
