About This Listing
Lots of light, no clutter. One bedroom apartment on the sixth floor (no elevator) under the roof of a building built in 1890. View of Parisian rooftops. Very lively and cosmopolitan neighborhood. Lots of gourmet shops, cool bistros and loads of amazing French restaurants (Bistro Paul Bert, Le Chardenoux, Le Vieux Chêne, L'Ébauchoir) between Bastille and Père Lachaise Cemetary, and a great bakery right across the street (La Patisserie by Cyril Lignac.) If you want the best (award-winning) morning pastries in the neighborhood I have another address for you. There is a great farmers' market—Marché d'Aligre—a few blocks away, the only Parisian farmers' market opened 6 days/week, with two organic produce food vendors. The Marché d'Aligre is comprised of a mini flea market and a covered market full of food vendors (poultry shops, butcher shops, cheesemongers, fishmongers, Italian deli... )
For those who like fashion there is a trendy area a few minutes away by foot.

Bus 86 (will take you to St Germain-des-Prés):
Bus 69 (will take you to the Marais):
-No walking around in high heels (it's really obnoxious to the downstairs neighbors.)
-Do not use extra towels and/or bed linen (there is a washer and a dryer if you want to wash yours.)
-Guests must dispose of their trash when they leave, strip the bed and close the windows.
-Refrain from leaving buttery flakes or any greasy food on the floor, it stains the hardwood floors (our floor is starting to look a little bit like a leopard.)
Imelda and Francesca are WONDERFUL hosts! They communicated very quickly, and no detail was omitted, when we were making our reservation and then sending follow up emails. We were greeted warmly on our arrival, and the apartment was spotlessly clean. We found the location ideal and very quiet. The close proximity of a supermarket and the boulangerie were an added convenience. Extra special touches like coffee and fresh milk, fresh flowers, and a handbook with instructions on how to operate the washing machine and other appliances made our stay just delightful. Thank you, Imelda and Francesca.
We've been to Paris as a couple being it the first time. So we found the apartement quiet easily and it is located in a nice neighbourhood surrounded by some really sweet and typical French restaurants and bars. The apartment itself is in a beautiful and very clean building. We were welcomed and although a little high up (therefore not accesible for anyone disabled) we lived for four days in this neat and comfortable apt.
The view from the window is amazing and you easily get a feeling for the French atmosphere. All in all it is an apartment which we would highly recommend especially for couples like us that came to Paris for just a few days and who basically just Need a place to stay. This being the reason as well as the closeness to the city center the apartment is an excellent option for staying in Paris! Francesca and Imalda-thank you very much for your help to make this trip unforgettable!!!
We absolutely loved our stay at Imelda and Francesca's place! The photos, review and description were exactly correct and it was such a treat to have a full size kitchen to use while we were in Paris. Great location and wonderfully clean and minimalist.
Imelda and Francesca were very responsive, and helpful with all the necessary information regarding the apartment and check-in, prior to our arrival. The apartment was exactly as pictured and described – a beautifully charming home for our week in Paris, and the kitchen delightfully stocked! Metro stops were conveniently close, and the neighborhood filled with a lot of options for food and groceries. We would highly recommend the apartment, and Imelda and Francesca, who showed great compassion and made our stay in Paris so very memorable.
We had such a lovely stay in Imelda & Francesca's apartment. The place is fantastic, very stylish and we had everything we needed (including beer in the fridge!). Especially loved the view of Paris rooftops in the morning.
The neighbourhood is great, lovely croissants and a famous bistro across the street, and easy to get to Le Marais.
Really can't recommend the flat enough - hosts were great and very quick to come back to me with anything.
Had a great stay at Imelda and Francesca's apt in Paris. Place is just like the photos and nice and spacious. It has everything you need from kitchen to bathroom etc. Very handy to the metro and also great to have restaurants close by if you don't want to venture too far. On the 6th floor so will warn that stairs are tough with luggage but we didn't mind. Overall would Defo recommend this apt if you're planning visiting Paris.
