Introducing my apartment: a cosy and well-lit first floor apartment close to transport, shops, parks, the zoo, Melbourne's city centre and the happening, restaurants, food and music of multicultural Brunswick. We adore it!
Introducing my apartment: a cosy and well-lit first floor apartment close to transport, shops, parks, the zoo, melbourne's city centre and happening, multicultural brunswick.
The apartment has a sunny, well equipped kitchen and pantry, with all the pots, pans and spices you can think of - except saffron, so don't think of that one.
There are two bedrooms. The master bedroom is enormous and receives great sunlight all day long. It has a very comfortable queen size bed. The second bedroom has a floor-ceiling window facing south and a king-single bed. The bathroom has a shower and bathtub, and a washing machine and drying space. There is a separate toilet.
The large loungeroom has a modest south facing balcony completed with a well-managed, odourless wormfarm for composting organic waste. There is heating in the kitchen, lounge and second bedroom, but I don't use it that often, perhaps my downstairs neighbours heat for both of us!
The apartment is pleasingly quiet, which is surprising because trams pass within 200 m or so.
There is high speed wifi, and always on-street parking available right outside.
There might be bikes that you can lend. There is a washing machine in the bathroom and outside there are shared washing lines for drying.
An off-street parking space will be available if we are not at home.
If I am here I can connect you to all kinds of little known delights of the city, and might be able to lend you a bicycle, helmet and lights. If not, just follow your nose and you can hardly go wrong.
Sydney Rd (Brunswick) is 10 minutes walk away, and features hundreds of eating options, plus live music, cafés, shopping, etc. One block further is Lygon St (Brunswick), which also has fabulous restaurants and bars.
The nearest tram stop is 3 minutes walk away, stop number 30 on Route 55 to West Coburg. Royal Park Railway Station on the Upfield line is less than a kilometre away. There are also trams on Sydney Rd going in to the city, and buses run east-west from within 5 minutes walking distance.
