This cozy cottage is for couples looking to escape from it all and regenerate on many levels. You'll have your very own steam shower ....check out the company description.... . "Featuring 10 acupuncture jets, sunken tub and a high efficiency steam engine, the 608P steam bath is designed to greatly increase your spa experience. Indulge yourself in a state of complete relaxation". You'll also enjoy the comfy bed, fully stocked kitchen, private deck and access to an amazing swimspa and sauna.

The space
This space is designed to spoil your significant other. Massage table and clean sheets provided (bring your own oils) Steam shower with a variety of jets and luxuries, unfortunately the Bluetooth in the shower no longer functions. Comfy queen sized bed and a full-sized leather sofa bed. Full sized fridge and electric stove for food prep. Pots, pans, bowls and dishes along with dish towels and linens provided. Extra fluffy towels to spoil yourself with a spa like experience. You can walk a peaceful trail around a beautiful lake with an abundance of wildlife or sit on your private deck and just soak it all in! Large gas grill provided on the private deck as well. It's hard to get reliable wifi in the woods but reception is best by the shared fire pit area.
Fire pit and free firewood available to all. This is a retreat you will love! Large 8 foot by 14 foot SWIMSPA is shared but is usually empty. Enjoy the stars and moonlight while relaxing in this incredible spa with your significant other. Many powerful jets along with swimspa jets for exercise or deep muscle massage. Our new sauna is available year round as well.

Guest access
Guests have the entire cozy cottage to themselves...lots of blinds and privacy film create a secure and private cottage where guests can be themselves. The back deck area is also very private in the woods. There is a private fire pit and gas grill for your exclusive use.

Other things to note
The phone connection can be spotty inside the cozy cottage, your best bet is to connect outside to starlink and then go back inside the cottage. We have the best wifi available in the country but it's still not very good for "streaming" . You can check email or surf the web. We are pet friendly but there is an additional $30 fee for pets. Pets are registered in the reservation just under guests. The swimspa and sauna are open year round.

Neighborhood highlights

I own one acre on a family farm of 1200 acres. My family is gracious to allow guests to hike the lake trails. The cozy cottage is off the main road and nestled in the woods along the lake. Full disclosure ....my log cabin is nearby but I give my guests their privacy but am available for any concerns. There is also a barn that I rent to guests so it is possible for groups to come as well. The barn can sleep up to 10 guests between the two units.

A variety of wildlife may be seen or heard while visiting this secluded getaway such as raccoon, squirrel, skunk, deer, beaver, groundhog, fox, coyotes, and bats along with numerous water fowl and birds. The cozy cottage is only a few yards from a bountiful garden that I share with others...Feel free to help yourself to an herb or vegetable. Off the main road, the stars are amazing on a clear night. In the summer, the only light around is the fireflies that are also in great abundance. A whimsical bird walk has been created to guide guests around the 30-60 minute lake trail. A path down to the lake allows guests to sit in tranquility on a bench and enjoy bird watching and beautiful sunsets.

I grew up on Lake Linda along with my six siblings on a ranch our ancestors homesteaded in the 1800’s. I’m blessed to share the best of Illinois with my guests.
