We hope all the gay men and women who stay with us in one of the 3 luxurious self-contained rooms will have a lot of fun and interesting times in Bali. We try and suggest guests are quiet after about 10.30 pm - because the gay party-street, Jalan Dyanapura, is just 10 mins walk away. Remember the busy Seminyak beach is only 10 mins walk away as well as the up-market boutiques, shops and restaurants.
Ian and his staff provided me with an excellent stay! This was my first time using a reservation through AirBnB, and I hope all my future stays are as enjoyable as this one. Due to the eruption of Mt. Raung, on Java, I had to stay in Australia, as my flight to Bali was cancelled the 9-13. As soon as I got notification from Virgin Australia, I kept Ian in the loop that my arrival in Denpasar would be delayed another day yet again. He was very responsive and sympathetic, as he was also unable to fly from Australia due to the volcano. Ian kept Wayan aware of my situation which also helped alleviate the stress of it all. Finally, after being flown from Sydney to Perth, I was notified by the hotel, at 2:30 am on July 14, that the VA passengers would be transported to the airport for a noon flight to DPS. I let Ian know the good news, and he had two staff meet me at the airport for transport to his villa! I was provided a ride to a trusted money changer. Out of the goodness of his heart, he and Wayan even provided me a sympathy package to help me get over missing the first five days of my first visit to Bali! I so look forward to returning and staying with them again! The location was perfect for short walks to the beach in Seminyak, shopping, dining, and Starbucks. I had hot breakfast on my balcony, with even a bit of Vegemite :-). I really feel like I stayed with close friends there, even though it was my first time in Bali!
My stay with Ian and the guys was incredible. The property is gorgeous with so much character. The pool oasis was perfect for an afternoon dip. The house is separated from all of the noise of Seminyak, which was wonderful. However, it is also a very short walking distance to everything you would want...from shopping, restaurants, fun bars and a beautiful beach. Everyone was really helpful in recommendations and in nice conversation. I highly recommend a stay here!
I loved staying in the passionfruit room. It is spacious with a huge walk-in wardrobe area that felt very luxurious. The bathroom had large windows with a view over rice paddies and the best sunsets. It had a little kitchenette so I felt self contained. Yet I could use all the services in the main part of the villa such as their kitchen, lounge room, and lovely pool area. The host Ian was very welcoming, helpful, and charming. I felt it was good value for money and look forward to staying there on my next visit.
Seminyak is a pretty buzzy place these days...but the Jero was a welcome and secure haven. Well positioned to the beach, restaurants and shops. Ian, Joko and the team were warm and attentive. The passionfruit room was spacious and comfortable. Also appreciated the fridge and gas burner for tea/coffee. Wonderful little private deck overlooking the pool one side and rice paddies the other...heavenly.
Some level of noise does tend to travel from downstairs up to the room, but most of the time this was not an issue. Overall, a top place to rest or play in Seminyak.
This was such a great experience. Really perfect. Ian is so helpful and charming and friendly. The room is BEAUTIFUL! Usually the pictures make a room look much nicer than it is. It's the opposite here - the pictures don't express how wonderful the Passionfruit Room is. I will stay here every time I'm in Bali. I was really sad to discover that it's already booked the next time I visit.

About the Host, Wayan
I am just one of a team of other wonderful Indonesians who will help make your stay relaxed, interesting and informative. I have lived in Bali for 9 years in 3 different locations, hills, traditional villages and Seminyak. What I love about Bali is the mix of traditional Balinese culture and a real international flavour. Bali still keeps its culture intact and strengthens it, in spite of the problems us foreigners bring - using so much water, making so much rubbish and having such a wonderful time in their country. Please join our team in a relaxing and wonderful stay in Bali. And please ask us questions if you have them.
