A beautiful, cabin-feel retreat on 153 acres. New this season.. we have a hot tub! Endless opportunities to explore and play all day. We are in prime hunting area as well so this is a great home base for hunting season. This gorgeous area has a canyon on one end and the Thistle river on the other. You can sled, snowshoe and cross-country ski in the winter, hike, fish and mountain bike in the summer, or just gaze up at the millions of stars that explode across the sky at night.
The space
Every guest in this immaculately clean, non-smoking home will be comfortable and well-taken care of. Most of the bedrooms have their own private bathrooms. All of the beds are luxury Tempur-Pedics or Aireloom mattresses! The living room on the main floor has a large leather sofa and a television, under the most gorgeous chandelier you’ve ever seen in a cabin. The living room in the basement also has a comfy sofa, a television, and a game table. We designed the house for gathering and to allow the kids and adults to spread out when they want to.
The dining room has a large custom table and benches, so that everyone in large parties can eat together. The kitchen has new appliances, and comes with a blender, toaster, and all of your baking and cooking necessities. There is plenty of tableware for everyone. Off the kitchen, there is a large deck with deck furniture where you can grill, or just sit back and take in the views.
Bring your own sleds, tubes, snowshoes or cross-country skis to explore the 153 acres of mountain terrain. You only have to share it with elk, deer and wild turkey. For access to the home in the winter, 4-wheel drive vehicles with good tires are necessary.
We have a large 20x50 insulated shed near the home with Kitchenette and games with a large camping area beside it. It is a great place to gather outside of the heat of summer or cold of winter. Our campground with a large fire pit is next to the shed. The campground can hold multiple tents and there is parking areas sufficient for a few RV's although we do not have hookups for RVs.
Coming soon on the hayfield bordering the bank of the thistle river, we are creating a cut-your-own Christmas tree farm! We’re excited to preserve this virgin area and share it with the community.
As a safety note we are a working farm with equipment and horses on the property. As mentioned there are wild animals common in this area including rattlesnakes and care should be taken around any wild animals. The creak on the property is great for fishing and wading but water safety measures should be taken.
