Our flat is a perfect city getaway where you can retreat from sightseeing in the city to the laid back environment of this cosmopolitan neighbourhood.
The living room has two comfortable sofas, a
flat screen TV, digital radio and iPod-dock. The dining area with fold-out table comfortably seats 4-6 people. The modern, fully equipped kitchen has a gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, large fridge freezer and washing machine.
Our recently installed luxury bathroom has an extra-large tub, relaxing rain and hand held shower, heated towel rail and under-floor heating.
The flat has a large master bedroom with King-sized bed, pocket sprung memory foam mattress with White Company Egyptian cotton bed-linen. Light and spacious, this room has generous storage space and a desk with iMac computer overlooking the pleasant leafy street.
The second bedroom can be used as a study area and has a convenient fold out day bed that sleeps two comfortably.
Additional bed linen and towels are provided. A cleaner also comes once a week.
Our large south facing decked roof terrace overlooks a mature communal garden. The private terrace has table and chairs ideal for al-fresco summer dining with a small herb-garden and outdoor lighting.
The building has a secure communal hallway with plenty of room for bicycles. We have one vintage-style ladies Pashley and one fold up Brompton bicycle with helmets and locks available for guest use upon request. There is plenty of street parking and residential parking permits are also available upon request.
The flat is a stone’s throw away from Chiswick High Road and its chic cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques. The area is well suited to food lovers and as well as great bakeries and a London-famous butcher and fishmonger there is a weekly farmers’ market nearby. It is five minutes’ walk to the delightful Chiswick House and gardens and a further 10 minutes’ walk from there to the River Thames and the charming riverside pubs of Hammersmith and Strand-on-the-Green. This area is excellent for walking, running or taking pleasant cycle rides to nearby Kew and Richmond.
The flat has excellent transport links to and from Heathrow and Gatwick airports and Central London. It is a short walk to Turnham Green tube station where the District Line runs to Victoria, Westminster through to East London. It is also within walking distance to Chiswick overground station from where you can travel to Vauxhall and Waterloo, and the nearby Southbank Centre, Old Vic Theatre, Tate Modern and Borough Market. There are also regular, direct buses to Hammersmith, Notting Hill and Kensington High Street.

We've been one week in Helen's and Simon's flat. It's been great. Everything was in a really good condition, prepared and clean when we got in. They even had the kind detail to leave us some milk and more... It has this nice terrace that we actually used a lot since the weather was great that week.
The flat is in Chiswick, in a really good location: In a calm place and five minuts walk from the High Road where you have everything.
Although we haven't met them in person, they have been so nice and kind anytime which we really appreciated.
If we go back to London again next summer, we'll definetely try to go back to this flat. Thanks so much. Laura
