About This Listing
Located atop the historic mountain district of the Morne of the capital city of Castries, St. Lucia, this home offers breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea nestled in a secluded area of the Seaview Estates. This place has two large bedrooms, an open kitchen with modern amenities, beautiful tiled bathrooms, high ceilings and large windows offering continuous views of the ocean and verandas atop a private garden featuring local fruits and vegetables for your delight.
The year-round sunny and warm weather will allow you to travel throughout the island whether you would like to go shopping in the main town 15 minutes away or scuba diving, horseback riding, or sailing on any of the beautiful beaches 5-15 minutes away. If you prefer to rent a car, there is a private garage for your use.
The central location provides ready access to the local nightlife in the towns in the north in Gros Islet and Rodney Bay or more adventurous day-long excursions to our celebrated rain forest, unique drive-through volcano, and spectacular world heritage sites of the Pitons in the southern district of Soufriere.
Additional services such as airport pick-up and drop-off, a car rental or a private driver can be arranged accordingly. A week in advance notice is necessary for such arrangements.
Guests that are respectful of the neighborhood and broader culture that don't litter, and play loud disruptive music.
Lucia was a gracious hostess. She made sure we knew how to get there and greeted us warmly on arrival. This was our first Airbnb and it was a great success - you get a much better feel for a country - its customs and people - when staying in a neighborhood rather than a resort. The property itself is appointed very nicely with a great view and all the comforts of home.
My boyfriend and I loved our stay at Seaview Estates! Lucina was a great host. She is wonderful, personable, welcoming and soo prompt with getting back to you and answering any questions. Her home was so comfortable, clean, and full of happy energy. The house is huge. The pictures don’t do it any justice. Lucina welcomed us the evening we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. The back porch with the water view is especially nice in the evening when the sun is setting. I was initially worried because there was no A/C in the house but the house is typically cool and it turned out to be no issue at all. It’s about 20/30 min drive to Rodney Bay and there is a local market with goods/souvenirs about 10 mins drive. All I could say is I wish we had more time. I will definitely be back.
We had a wonderful stay at Lucina's place. The house is reallu great, well equiped in a lovely neighborhood, with an amazing view on the ocean. Lucina is so nice, always there to help, give you advices on your visit of the island, and offer you fruits from her garden! I would definitely come back !
Where to start...Lucina is one of the nicest, most caring, gracious and welcoming hosts I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. She went out of her way to make my girlfriend and I feel at home. Whether it was slicing off a stock of fresh aloe from her garden for my sunburn (did I mention FRESH ALOE???), to providing us with a pre-paid, local cell-phone, Lucina did it all.
She is also a fantastic conversationalist...we talked politics and social dynamics, and it was great to get a local's perspective. Doesn't hurt that she is brilliant.
The property is also AMAZING and HUGE. It's extremely colorful and bright, with a great view of the water. The location is awesome too...right off of La Toc Road, which is the main road to get both North, South, and East. It's a perfect locale if you want to explore all parts of the island (which I recommend, because they're all different).
I could go on and on, but hopefully my words ring true. Lucina, and her property, are the best. You will not find a better situation than at her beautiful Seaview House!!!
Lucina welcomed us long before we even left New York. She reached out immediately, provided us tips on things to bring, and gave us directions/phone number should we run in to any trouble.
Upon arrival Lucina was gracious and welcoming. Lucina gave us advice on where to go and what to visit and even rode with us to the grocery store to get our breakfast makings. After we shared our plans of traveling to the far reaches of the island, she also provided us with a local cellphone, since we didn't purchase an international plan.
Her home was beautiful and quiet. My girlfriend and I couldn't have been happier with our choice and much preferred the Seaview House over any resort options. The house is fully equipped for cooking, the bedroom and bathroom were fully appointed, and there was great pressure and hot water in the shower. Much to it's namesake there was also an amazing view of the sea and, on clear nights, an even better view of the sunset which can be enjoyed from the deck!
All in all and extremely pleasant experience on an incredibly beautiful island. We would instantly use this as our home base should we find ourselves back in St. Lucia soon.
Thanks very much for your gracious review. I am happy that my home lived up to your expectations. I am trying my best to see that all my guests feel at home upon their arrival and I am happy you and your family felt this way especially your mom.
Valerie, wishing you and your family the very best for 2015.
Love always....... Lucina
Seaview house is a beautiful home with a beautiful view, in a good location for exploring the north and west sides of the island, and in a nice neighborhood. The home is well-kept and meticulously cleaned with modern amenities and a kitchen that's great for cooking. Lucina is a gracious, fun and spunky host that really goes the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. We highly recommend renting a car if you're staying here and let Lucina help you with that. Our overall experience here was wonderful...
Many thanks for your kind review. I felt really good that my home met all your requirements. It was indeed a great pleasure having you and Josh spend sometime at my house during your vacation in St. Lucia.
Hopefully, in the near future we can meet again. Wishing you and Josh the very best.
