Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • We loved our stay in Riad Hidden. The location is fantastic; only a couple of minutes from Jamaa El Fna and easy to find (or at least by Marrakech standards) once you get to know your way around.

The riad itself is fantastic. There is a lovely terrace area on the roof where breakfast is served, and our room was huge and beautifully decorated. There are two guys who work full time in the riad and were able to help with our every need. Karim in particular was really helpful and always on hand to offer a pot of tea.

Although Salma wasn't based in the riad, she did come by part way through our stay and was really friendly. Salma was also great for communicating prior to the stay.

Additionally, Salma was able to arrange for us to be taken from the airport to the Medina, where we were met by a 'wagon' which took us to the riad on foot. We had to pay separately for this, but as it was our first time in Marrakech we would have struggled to navigate the old town with all our bags on our first night. So we highly recommend this service if you're new to the city.

All in all, I can't recommend this riad enough. Location, decor, facilities and support and all at a fantastic price. If we were to come back to Marrakech we wouldn't think twice about returning to Riad Hidden. Thank you!

  • I had à very Nice stay there, everything was well arranged. The staff were very friendly and helpful, make the stay just comfortable. Clean room and good breakfast, very good location also. But you need to spend some time to find it at the fIrst time. One piece of info for female traveling alone, you can't lock the door of the room, I don't know if this was normal for this kind of old Riad, so if you are easily getting scared, maybe you should think about it. But anyway, I didn't have any problem with it, slept very well each night, actually quite cool to think that you can just sleep with your door unlocked. There is also a safe in the room for valuable stuff, so no worries for that.

  • We had a great time at riad hidden! Perfect for exploring the souks. Salma and her staff were also really friendly and helpful. The place had lots of charm and was so peaceful in comparison go the rest of the medina. Highly recommended

  • We stayed at Riad Hidden for 4 nights at the end of February 2014. Booking through airbnb with Salma was very easy and she even let choose which room we wanted to stay in. A taxi picked us up from the airport for 150dhs, although this approximately 50dhs over market rate, we would recommend it as the driver arranges for a porter (tipped 20dhs) to take you directly to the Riad - which is very useful when you first arrive in the city. The location of the Riad is fantastic as you can explore all of the medina with ease and have the souls and central square at your doorstep. Beautiful setting, tranquil environment and perfect for rooftop sun lounging. Hasan and Karim were both very helpful with checking us in, giving us recommendations and providing us with a delicious breakfast, even early in the morning before a 7am trip. We would definitely stay here again and have already been passing word on to our friends and family!

  • We had a lovely time at Riad Hidden! Although we did not ever meet Salma in person, her employees were completely helpful and friendly. Our room was just lovely, and the breakfast was generous. One thing to keep in mind - Riads are meant to stay cool in the hot climate, but unfortunately they have the same effect in the cooler months, so we were a little freezing the whole time! Other than that, I highly recommend.

  • We received a fantastic welcome from Salma with lots of information on what to see, where to go etc etc. The staff at Riad Hidden were all wonderfully gentle, warm and welcoming, making our stay just perfect. Our room was great, breakfasts delicious and soaking up some winter sun on the tranquil terrace a real highlight. The riad is perfectly situated right in among the chaos of the medina with plenty of souk shopping right on the doorstep and loads of great places to eat, hammams and historic sights all within easy walking distance.

  • Great location and helpful staff. However, after we'd booked, the host increased the price of the accommodation. Not sure if this was an error in the booking system but I was shocked. The host would not honour the airbnb booking and insisted we pay an extra 150 euros. However a BIG thank you to airbnb who refunded us the difference which was in our bank account before we even left.
Riad Hidden is beautiful (the drain smell in a couple of rooms may just be typical of the old town, not sure). We loved the breakfast and the terrace. However, there are lots of Riads around this area and I would advise anyone to book with someone else just in case you have the same situation (and the smell) as we did.
