I am very satisfied after my stay at 16 Duke Street. The contact with Mrs Hendy was great, I had no problems or whatsoever.
The place itself is nice, spacious and clean. For most of the time I was the only tenant. My room was very cosy and warm.
The only downsides was that the big living room downstairs takes some time to heat up (my visit took place in December) and a poor WIFI on a top floor (this should be easily improved).
Overall It was very nice.
I can totally recommend this place.
A little bit far from city centre but it was ok
jean is very kind and nice person.
I stayed here for almost a full month. It was fantastic!
Comfortable, warm, easy to get to places and Jean was a wonderful host. The room was clean and tidy, plenty of room- and electrical points!!
Jean was attentive, kind, friendly and always happy to answer questions. I was working bizarre hours whilst down in Plymouth and staying here was ideal.
I'd recommend and definitely stay there again!
My daughter and I planed our journey from Germany to South England by car off the top of one's head. In this situation Jean was a kind and perfect host for our short trip to Plymouth.
Jean's house was really nice in the quiet Devonport. I recommend this charming house and its very helpful owner, so you can explore Plymouth with all the accomodations you would have at home. Really nice place to stay.
Super lovely lady, really welcoming, great location-would def stay again :)
The room was great, nice and good bed and the furniture alright. The communal rooms were inviting and clean and whenever there are questions Jean is always available to answer them. The option to use the washing machine was more than welcome and all other facilities offered in the house (the communal rooms) are just what you need. Jean is a truly lovely landlady and hostess and is very caring and tries to ensure that your stay is to your satisfaction :-).
Jean hosted me since the first day with a warm smile and giving me suggestions and helps for making stay easier. I had a big and comfy room ( double bed, two cupboards and space enough to organise your stuff on a desk). You have also all necessary facilities on the house; besides a kitchen ( with micro, etc you've washing machine and dryer) you share with other guests, there's a big and bright living room placed downstairs as the toilet (rooms are on the third floor). That is, I really enjoyed the place and of course, I recommend it for anyone who wants to find a comfy and economic place for exploring Devon and Cornwall.
Jean is a wonderful host, friendly, cozy, very helpful and funny woman.
House is near the centre city, good comunication to public bus stop.
Jean made me feel like my own home.
Thanks for all. Luis.
Me and my husband were in Plymouth in January for my Birthday and stayed at Jean's place. The house is big and very tidy, we had our double room, living room and kitchen. Jean is kind and caring, so we enjoyed our stay!
