About this listing

I just love my neighbourhood, and my place is charming, with a lot of light and intimacy while the street in itself is pretty much animated. This is a family neighbourhood, it is really quiet at night - and it is two steps from the market!

The Space

The apartment in itself is really nice! There's a lot of windows, it's sunny and joyful. I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I do. Of course I have a sound system on which you can plug a iPod, or you can use my turntable or listen to my cds. I have a nice and large intimate balcony with fresh mint, parsley and basil where it is pretty cool to relax, have a drink, read a book, talk with friends or eat. It is mostly covered, so when the rain is gentle you can still be outside. During the summer you need to know that the place can get hot - but since I have huge windows, it cools down pretty fast at night when you open everything.

Interaction with Guests

I won't be there - I'll leave you instructions to pick up the keys, and if any problem I'll leave you a good friend number.

The Neighborhood

I live in a charming neighbourhood, Villeray, at only one corner from the greatest public market in town! Downstairs there's a charming café that makes one of the best coffee in town, no kidding!! On the street you'll find artisanal creamery, tiny chocolate "factory", best bakery in town (no kidding either - they won a prestigious prize in France!). My street, de Castelnau is becoming pedestrian for the summer, there will be terraces and it promises to be very lively!

Five minutes walk there's an awesome brewery and a great little music venue. Of course there's also great restaurants in the neighbourhood - and since I am also pretty close to the famous Mile End neighbourhood, amazing restaurants, bars and cafes are not hard to find! At all.

Also almost in the Little Italy and not far from Parc-Ex where are the best Indian food. Also close to Petite-Patrie, an easy going hood where there's also a bunch of cafes and bars.

Basically, you'll be close to everything!

Getting Around

BIXI are everywhere in the hood (public bicycle sharing system) and my appartement is located between St-Denis and St-Laurent (2 of the major streets in town) - so it's also really easy to take the bus. I'm also 3 minutes walk from the subway blue line and six minutes from the subway orange line.

Other Things to Note

I'd appreciate if you could feed my fish at least once a day. Apart from that you don't have to worry about them.

About the WIFI : I don't have an internet connection since I use the wifi from the Cafe downstairs. Personally, I would say it works 90% of the time. I don't have problems to have access to it when the cafe is closed. However, 2 guests reported me having had problems to access wi-fi some times.
