My whole amazing place is sometime available for you! Look at the calender!
I live in a charming neighborhood, Villeray, at only one corner from the greatest public market in town!
The apartment is close to two subway stations (orange or blue line), bus, and everything you'll need! It's really close to petite-italie, but also not far from the famous mile-end neighborhood, were you'll find a bunch of great restaurants, bars and cafés.
My place is right upstairs a nice little café that serves one of the greatest in town, no kidding!
The appartment in itself is really nice. There's a lot of windows, it's sunny and joyful. I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I do. Of course I have a sound system on which you can plug a iPod or play my cds and I have a nice and large balcony with fresh mint, parsley and basil. ;)
Contact me for any question!
Thanks for looking.
** I have a Queen bed. I also have an inflatable mattress that can be used. So, you could be 4 people in my place, but there would be an extra 15$ for each person a night.
My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay at Karene's apartment. The location was ideal. It was about a 5 minute walk to the Jean Talon metro station. From there, our trips to Le Plateau and Downtown Montreal took approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on the attraction we were going to see. The neighborhood is quiet and fairly residential with some good restaurants (Mediterranean, tapas, etc) and a great marketplace (called Jean Talon Market), that we frequented for crepes, smoothies and coffee. The apartment itself was clean and comfortable. While Karene was not in town during our stay, she gave helpful instructions via email and also arranged with her friend to be available to us should we have questions. The one inconvenience was limited Wi-Fi connectivity. We were instructed to use the Wi-Fi associated to the Cafe downstairs from the apartment. My boyfriend was able to connect but I was not. This was inconvenient as I had planned to work that day. Other than this, we were very happy with our stay.
Karène's wonderful apartment was very cozy, clean and well kept. We loved her collection of art, and records. Too bad we weren't able to meet- I think we would have been able to share some Thai cooking tips ;)
Karene's place was just perfect! Quirky, spacious, and right around the corner from the Jean Talon farmers' market. Karene was very helpful over email and had her friend help me out to pick up her keys. Thanks!
Karène. From Montreal. I like the surprises of life, I like to take risks, I trust my instincts and I like when I see that I was right! ;) I live one day at a time, I just enjoy to be. To be healty, to have a bunch of nice friends around me and to have the opportunity to travel every now and then!
I speak french, I'm ok with English, and I've been a beginner at Spanish for more than 10 years! I just don't have the opportunity to practice it, so you know how it is...! I listen to music all the time (I like to say that I'm a music boulimic!), I read a lot, I'm a graphic designer and I can't get up in the morning!! I'm always late at work! I'm also that type of person who likes to do things by herself: I cook a lot, I sew (did my curtains and my quilt for ex.), I learned to be handy since I live alone without a man to help! (I built my own table amongst other things), I'm the DIY type! ;)
As a traveller I'm really respectful. I'm a mas o menos active couch surfer, and this is a way of travelling that correspond perfectly to what I'm looking for: to discover new places through the people who are actually living there. I like to host people as well, I think that I am very lucky to live were I live, and I like to share that with others. I'm easy going and as I was saying I respect others. This is probably the most important value that I have.
