Two fabulous rooms in a FAMILY HOME. They are very spacious and comfortable. If you just book the double then I don't take bookings on the other interconnecting room so you will have your privacy.
As with many of the listings on Airbnb this is a family home - not a traditional bnb. We have a large double bedroom and a lovely, sunny twin bedroom. Our home is right by the sea on the lovely west wales coast in Borth, just 6 miles from Aberystwyth. Borth has a fabulous beach and wonderful views of the mountains in the distance. We have a few shops, cafes and 3 pubs. There are breathtaking walks right from the front door. We are easy to visit by public transport because we are right by a train station and bus stop. The main bedroom is large, light and airy with high ceilings. It has a comfortable antique bed and beautiful turkish carpet. Off the main bedroom through an interconnecting door, is a lovely twin bedroom. To use both rooms there is an extra charge of £15 per night per extra guest (negotiable for families with children -contact me and we can work out a price). We have toys and childrens books. The whole house is centrally heated. We have plenty of room for bikes and parking is plentiful right outside the house.
We provide the basics of tea and coffee, fresh linen, dressing gown and towels. Included in the price is a fabulous 'help yourself' breakfast which includes things like muesli, cereal, fruit, wonderful greek yogurt, bread, jams and preserves, fruit juice, fresh pot of tea or coffee, herb teas - some guests have even had homemade lemon and almond cake for breakfast! .
We have a shared shower room on the ground floor along with the shared kitchen and the guest bedroom. (the house has 3 bathrooms in total so there is never a queue!) We have fun things to play with for the sea that you could use; kayak canoes etc. Aberystwyth has an Arts Centre, cinema, museum, beautiful views. There is a bird sanctuary where BBCs Springwatch was filmed, an osprey centre,The Centre for Alternative Technology, Borth railway museum, amazing bike rides and a mini zoo close by. You can get surf lessons here or just mess around on body boards.
We have a spaniel/collie dog . She is not allowed in the guest bedrooms but she is a house dog so will be around and about the rest of the house.
We have travelled lots ourselves in the past and remember the special times we have had - we want our visitors to also experience special times on their holidays. WE LOVE IT HERE - hope you do to!
Guests will have access to their bedroom!, the kitchen available 24hrs, 2 bathrooms (shared). Upstairs beyond the 2nd bathroom is our private space. We will give you a door key so you can come and go as you please.
Interaction with Guests
Usually we will be present at the house throughout the guests stay. I would say we are friendly but also give our guests plenty of space. Occasionally we may not be there all of the time in which case you get the whole downstairs all to yourselves!
Sea side village with amazing views. At the moment ( August 2014 till winter 2014) Borth is having new sea defences built. These are being built out of large rocks. There is still access to the beach but you have to walk a few more minutes to get onto the beach.
Buses and trains run virtually from the front door. We are on a direct train line from Birmingham International train station (airport)
Other Things to Note
I have put the check in time as 2.00pm but you are welcome to arrive earlier if you let me know in advance.
No smoking in the house. Please make sure the dog does not escape out onto the road - THANKS :)
It was a perfect stay!! :) The room was really spacious and lovely, very homey :) The house was situated right across the beach and the family loves the ocean. Kasper was really friendly and nice host, we couldn't ask for more. Definitely will recommend this to anyone!
Although we didn't spend a lot of time in Borth, kasper's house is lovely.
The decoration and the design of the rooms are original and beautiful. Kasper is super nice, helpful and friendly!!
The breakfast was amazing and we tasted a homemade jam that was delicious!
We highly recommend kasper's place. Juno rocks! :)
Kasper was such an amazing host. She really went out of her way to make us feel at home... breakfast, things to do, places to see, and even helping us with laundry. We enjoyed the sunset, took walks, rode bikes, played soccer, and ate delightful tasty ice cream! Thank you Kasper!!! We had such a wonderful time staying with you. It was everything we expected and some.
A great first time experience of airbnb - I hope they are all like this! Kasper was very easy to contact and very accommodating of our changing requirements. Kasper and Lily (and Juno the dog!) made us feel very welcome, the house is lovely, the rooms are very clean and well presented and the shower was fab! Kasper left us a lovely selection of help yourself breakfast goodies and had time to sit and chat with us. Just wish we had time to stay for longer and do some of the things she recommended .... maybe next time! Thanks Kasper.
Kasper and her family were lovely hosts. They met us in a local pub and spent the evening with us and in the morning we sat around the breakfast table for over an hour and had a nice chat. The room was very big and had a really comfortable bed and the breakfast was great too. We felt like family friends and would definitely come back if we were in the area again. Thanks for everything, we really enjoyed our stay! :)
Kasper war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich.
Gute Unterkunft und gemütlich.
Kasper, Tim and family made our stay in Borth a pleasant and memorable
experience. The room was clean, warm and comfortable. The shower was wonderful.
I have lived in Borth for 8 years and love it here. Our family house consists of Tim my husband and 3 children Freya, Isaac and Lily and our dog Juno. We like messing around in the sea and on our allotment.
