Interaction with Guests
Our lovely neighbour Trish looks after the house and will be the one who visits guests after their arrival. She will be there to answer any questions guests may have about the house and amenities and activities in the local area.
'House Rules' sound a little stern, rather we would request that all guests consider the following during their stay in our lovely eco home:
As an eco house we ask all guests to strive to be as environmentally responsible as possible during their stay. This includes cleaning and sorting any recyclable rubbish guests may generate (appropriate bins and guidelines are provided), making sure lights and heating are turned off when not required.
We have a 'shoes off' policy whilst in the house and we have provided an assortment of slippers for those who want them.
We ask guests to strip the bedding (not the mattress and pillow protectors unless necessary) and leave them along with used towels next to the washing machine before checking out. This is very helpful for our lovely neighbour who cleans and readies the house for the next guests and is much appreciated.
Most of all we ask guests to kick back, relax and enjoy the house, its unsurpassed views and its wild surroundings and have a blast.
We had a fantastic time at Moyhastin. The house was as spectacular as the views. A lovely big warm space in the main kitchen/dining area and a cosy little room to retire to afterwards in front of a real fire. Each room had breathtaking views, with Croagh Patrick visible from the decking and rooms at the rear of the house. The house was that warm we didn't really need the fire but we lit it anyway as it was so lovely. We were made to feel really welcome by Trish and the fresh flowers and soda bread were a nice touch that were especially welcoming. There was lots to do in and around the house and our family really enjoyed their time there.
We had a lovely few days staying in your lovely house, thank you!! We were visiting the area to celebrate my Dad's 60th birthday and couldn't have asked for anything better. The house itself is beautiful and the views stunning. The directions to the house were easy to follow and we were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Trish is a lovely host and was very friendly and informative. The personal touches around the house really do cater for everyone and we were all sad to leave. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I think it is safe to say my Dad had a wonderful birthday so thank you!
This house is absolutely gorgeous! It's ppeaceful, spacious and super comfy! Trish is very welcoming and a very lovely lady. We'll definitely come back here to climb Croagh Patrick! Thank you so much for letting stay here.
We loved staying at your beautiful home! The views from every room were spectacular and the house was very spacious and cozy. The hosts and their lovely neighbor, Trish, made us feel very welcome. Thank you so much for sharing your home. We hope to back soon!
We had a fantastic time at the house. Exactly what we read on the description and reviews. So much space, the wood burner was on for us on arrival and a loaf of soda bread ready to dig into.
Trish our host was super helpful. We were only here for a weekend, so would love to come back and stay longer. Loved the books laid out in each room. didn't need wifi with all those books and the constantly changing skies outside the big windows. Westport is a lovely town and a short drive away, great for seeing some live music 'sessions' Such a lovely peaceful home to stay in.
La maison du bout du monde, totalement conforme à nos attentes.

Au portes du Connemara.
Beautiful house in a quiet peaceful area with amazing views of Croke Patrick that's still only a few mins into Westport. Were given a lovely welcome and everything listed on the airbnb page was there as described. Would highly recommend!
About the Host, Malachy, Dewi And Family
Dewi and I are brothers who look after the running of the house on AirBnB. We look after the running for our mum, Debbie.
Mum had the house built as a family home. She planned to live here when it was finished but as most of her children ended up in the UK she decided to live closer to her children and grandsons in Pembrokeshire, Wales. She is so happy that she can share her beautiful home with amazing guests from all over the world and we are all humbled at the positive responses to the house and the area we've had from our guests.
The house was built by our lovely neighbours Willy and Gerard. They are brothers who specialise in wooden frame, environmentally sustainable construction and great friends of ours.
Trish, Willy's wife and one of mums closest friends is our amazing host and she's organises the house for guests and pops in to introduce herself and answer any questions and provides great suggestions on the local area. She lives just a couple of minutes walk away in another beautiful wooden house and is the star of the AirBnB experience. She is amazed at how great and considerate all our wonderful guests have been and she's made many friends along the way.
