Our beautiful cedar clad eco home is situated in the rugged countryside only 2 miles from Westport. The house boasts of large, sunlit rooms and ample space alongside unsurpassed views of Croagh Patrick and the open moorland beyond the house.
A beautiful cedar clad newly built four bedroom house is available with stunning views of Crough Patrick and the Partry Hills in West Mayo.
The house has four lovely light filled bedrooms, three of which come with comfortable double beds and one with a single bed (there is also a travel cot and fold out single futon bed in the living room), a bright and spacious modern kitchen, dinning area, cosy sitting room with fireplace, library and two modern bathrooms (one with solar hot water and one with electric hot water), there is also a large double bath in one of the bathrooms. There is decking to the south of the house with beautiful views (accessed via the french doors in the dining room).
There is also a laundry room with drying racks and an outdoor line. The dining room has a wood fired rayburn stove and there is also a small wood stove in the living room.
It benefits from breath taking views of rugged, unspoilt and undeveloped countryside and is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
The house is located not far from the heritage town of Westport. The picturesque town is known as one of Irelands best kept towns and is one of its major tourist destinations. The town boasts plenty of great restaurants and traditional Irish pubs with live music, a cinema, swimming pool, supermarkets, shops, etc. There is also a Zoo and small theme park at Westport House.
Within driving distance from here you will find many beautiful safe sandy beaches on the North and south shores of Clew Bay, many of which have been accredited with a blue flag award. You will also find the famous mountain of Croagh Patrick located nearby.
The house is just an hours drive to Galway and Knock International Airport. There is no better place to stay when exploring Irelands magical west coast line.

Beautiful spacious house, conveniently located approx. 10 minutes drive from Westport with amazing views of Croagh Patrick, which we climbed! The house had everything we needed with clear instructions for all appliances/recycling/lights etc. Would highly recommend this house for families or groups of friends wishing to get away from it all while also being very close to Westport and all its amenities.
We had a lovely time at the Eco house. It was spotlessly clean and had all we needed to make our stay relaxed and enjoyable. I would recommend. Suitable for anyone from families to groups of friends like us. Lots of space. We will never forget our trip. Not to mention the beautiful views. Thank you.
We had a wonderful stay in Ireland. The house is well located and very peaceful. By car it's just a 10 minute car drive to Westport. We felt very welcome, also thanks the fresh bread, the milk and the flowers. We hope to return once again to ireland. Thanks Trish and Dewi.
Lovely Greetings vom Switzerland.

Great house for a group staying and using Westport as base to explore Co. Mayo. Wonderful western light to make the most of the numerous windows. It was especially warm during our visit in July but clearly Dewi had put much thought and care into ensuring warm guests: a supply of firewood and the Rayburn stove. Our group loved making meals in the farmhouse-style kitchen. Everyone expressed good sleeping experiences except the person in the downstairs single bed, which is probably best suited to a child. Overall, a thoroughly good house and definitely recommended for a family group.
One note for finding it in the dark: after the first left turn, drive 2.1 KMs then take a left. Look for a road sign indicating a dead-end. Drive this increasingly narrow road, staying left at a "caution children" sign and following the road another kilometer until you reach the stone pillars with the faded red gate, where you veer right and downhill to the house.
This house has just beautiful views, and is literally a few minutes' drive from Westport, a small town that we really enjoyed. This large house was the perfect spot for our family of five to use as a base for exploring the Connemara area. We cooked in for almost all of our meals in the large open kitchen, and really enjoyed the views from there.
Your very welcome to come and stay at this beautiful country home. I look forward to hearing from you. This is my mums newly built house, built by sustainable building specialists to be a low impact, high performance house.
