Watch humpback whales, spinner dolphins, monk seals, manta rays, Ironman & triathlon events, surfers and stand up paddlers. Visit amazing art galleries, protected snorkeling and year round farmers markets that feature a brilliant array of unique local fruits and vegetables. Observe sacred green sea turtles and brightly colored tropical fish that abound in the underwater paradise while you settle into the slower island vibe.
This area offers so many diversions throughout the year; waterfalls, tropical forests, cliff jumping, golfing, hiking, active volcano flows, surfing, swimming, paddling, kayaking, hot ponds/springs, Kona coffee farming, macadamia nut tours, craft micro-breweries, and even 14k mountains with snow. Should you tire of these abundant activities and just want to relax in the sun away from the beach, there is a private in-ground pool with BBQ available for your use.
The living space is fully remodeled from top to bottom with a beautiful full ocean sunset view. The living, dining and kitchen are all open and together so conversations can flow between areas as everyone shares the spectacular ocean view. A unique feature is the Ohia post that supports a spacious loft with upscale futon, accessed by a handmade ladder, for one to relax and read a book in or kiddos to play. Hand carved wooden art work decorates the walls from a welcome sign, palm tree framed mirror, mini surfboards, and fish, along with artisan created ceramic fish plates. If you decide to use the fully stocked kitchen with marble counters, you can prep delectable dinners while gazing out at the ocean.
The vaulted ceilings throughout cannot be missed, while some hidden features include Japanese sitting chair under coffee table and expanding dining table. Want some fun on an evening in? Play Cranium, Jenga, Pick Up Sticks, and Cards or try your hand playing our ukulele. We are fully stocked with everything you need for your family to immediately hit the beach! This gear includes 5+ snorkel sets, beach chairs, hammock, coolers, beach towels, beach toys, and sunblock, saving you time and money.
Drift off to sleep in one of the two blue bedrooms. The guest room features a queen bed and cherry wood furniture, while the master qualities include handsome wood and thatch furniture and a king bed. Both rooms have full-length closets and full-length windows, and beautiful ivory drapes. There are two bathrooms, one features a gorgeous and spacious walk in shower with bench, and built in candleholders for added romance or for drinks, the choice is yours. The master bathroom has a tub to accompany the lovely Hawai'ian honu theme. This spacious location is a fantastic deal for your family and friends with plenty of space to stretch out. Other amenities include high-speed wireless internet, lots of beach gear/games, basketball/tennis courts, pool, BBQ grills, and other niceties to enhance your stay.
Need ideas of what to do? We adore exploring our island and have created a guest book with multiple agendas and local secrets of how to effectively hit as many gems as possible. We will gladly help you in planning an outstanding vacation!
You will be nestled among the coffee plantations on a hillside overlooking a breathtaking full ocean sunset view. Being at a 1500 foot elevation makes the evening cool for sleeping and yet comfortably warm during the day and located a quick 8 miles from downtown Kailua-Kona. This close proximity in the south offers brilliant farmers markets of produce, amazing art galleries, protected snorkeling and an even slower island vibe. We often host travelers training for the Ironman and other Triathlon events that enjoy the ability to easily reach the many different swimming spots of both the south and north. The Big Island is very large and offers so much sightseeing that you’ll find this location to be smack dab in the middle to experience each of the unique sights Pele’s mountain in the ocean has to offer. From the property location, 15 min in any direction will take you to great water for snorkeling and beach time, including Magic Sands just makai from the property. To fully experience the Big Island we highly recommend day trips to visit: the North resort beaches in the Kohala area, the black and green sand beaches in the South, waterfalls in Hamakua coast and rainforests in the Waipio valley, it is a *very* Big Island with so much to offer!
We appreciate and support international travelers! While we might not speak your native tongue, we will do our best to support you in adventuring around our beloved island and provide translations of our guest book and agendas.
Watch the sunset each evening from the comfort of your lounge chair on the lanai, mai-tai in hand!
Rental car is advisable.

Great experience! The villa is comfortable and close to Kailua-Kona, Captain Cook and lots of great beaches. We made good use of the beach gear provided, and the overall vibe was very welcoming. Sean was also super accommodating in last-minute early check-in and parking requests; the flexibility and responsiveness is appreciated!
Very nice place. everything as expected. We were there for the Ironman in Kona, so we didn't take full advantage of the area and surroundings, but it is definedly a very nice place to stay and a great area.
Our family of 5 adults traveled to Hawaii for the first time and stayed at Sean's Coffee Villa. The house was as described and comfortably accommodated two couples in the bedrooms and one single adult in the loft area. The location was centrally located and the perfect home base for all of our excursions around the Big Island.
There was plenty of gear to allow each of us to enjoy the many beaches and snorkeling on the island - towels, chairs, umbrella, and snorkel gear & more. The house was well stocked and clean when we arrived.
Sean provided an awesome packet of information about the island; day trips, local markets & restaurants, which helped us to plan a fabulous vacation. Definitely rent a car if you want to explore the island - I highly recommend Costco's rental car program if you are a member. They also have the least expensive gas on that side of the island - as well as better prices on packaged goods and other essentials.
We hope to be back again in the not-so-distant future! Mahalo, Sean!
Mahalo once again to Sean for helping us make our trip all the better. The house is exactly as described, cozy yet private and spacious.
Our party had 3 adults and 2 kids (the kids loved the loft). Although you hopefully won't spend too much time indoors, the house made for a great 'base camp' for our travels around the Big Island. The closet has enough gear to oufit a squad of would be mariners and beach lovers, and that is a big plus over renting your basics.
Rent a car, and take advantage of Sean's suggested iteneraries. Good tips, and tricks from the local side of things.

An excellent place to stay. It was right outside of Kailua-Kona, which let us take advantage of the town without being surrounded by tourists. The condo was beautiful and fully stocked. He provided a fantastic trip advisory book, which led us to all sorts of awesome adventures and great local eateries. We would happily stay there again.
We loved staying at Seans place.
Definitely has been our favorite in Hawaii so far. Great view, spacious, and a good value.
A beautiful living space in a great location. Sean had everything we needed to enjoy our first trip to the big island. Very comfortable setting. Sean was a great host and answered all of our questions with ease.
Aloha:) - Jen and Nate
