Beautiful, clean, comfy, and quiet with lots of space to spread out and relax. We really enjoyed the use of the BBQ and hot tub. The patio was landscaped with care, and the patio furniture was so comfy we spent most of our time outside enjoying it. The bedroom was roomy, with great pillows and don't even get me talking about the walk in closet....I think it was larger than my daughter's bedroom back home.

We were thrilled with this incredible casita. The views are amazing as well as the landscaping and scenery. We were exceptionally comfortable. It is a very roomy place. The host has thought out and provided for all of your needs while staying in her casita. We will definitely be back.

The place was prefect for my living situation while I was moving to Tucson! Very quiet and private property. The house is clean and has everything you need for a short or long term stay. Very close to the access road for mount Lemmon. I would highly recommend this place for anyone traveling to Tucson.

This house is great for a relaxing visit to Tucson! The front patio is private, with a mountain view. Rooms are large and the walk-in bedroom closet is a plus. A TV problem was quickly fixed within an hour, and everything worked. We enjoyed watching quail, roadrunners, and other Sonoran desert animals in the back yard. Safeway and many other stores are less than 10 minutes away by car.

The Desert Star Casita was neat, clean and just as pictured and described by Carla. The location is at the edge of Tucson, which was great for us (near the daughter). Bikers would love this area -- lots of local folks are buzzing through this area. Carla was prompt and courteous at communicating by e-mail/text (we did not talk to or see her personally). The kitchen was well enough equipped that we cooked a dinner there with no trouble, and dined on the patio.

Thank you, Chip! We are glad you liked the area. We enjoy this quiet cul de sac but do agree that Catalina Highway is a-buzz with bicycle enthusiasts and those looking to hike in the mountains. Thanks again!

the Casita was just as photographed, and perfectly oriented for a trip up the Catalina Highway to explore Mt. Lemmon. the Casita was very spacious and comfortable, and we enjoyed being able to cook our dinner and then sit in the hot tub under the stars. The Casita was nicely decorated, and so much more inviting than a hotel room! Check-in was easy and we'd love to stay there again if we weren't staying with friends when we visit Tuscon. A short drive towards town is a must visit: Le Buzz, wonderful coffee/pastry/breakfast lunch place.

What a great little Casita!! Enjoyed everything about our visit and the place was spotless! My friend and I were visiting Arizona for birding and we had a lot to photograph right in our own yard! Sitting on the patio in the evening enjoying a glass of wine watching the sunset was the perfect ending of each day. Used the murphy bed and friend said it was very comfortable. Added bonus having a washer & dryer. Wifi a bit spotty but certainly not the owners fault. Neighborhood so quiet and five minute drive up Catalina Highway amazing views. When I visit Tucson again, I would certainly stay at the Desert Star Casita.
