Quiet, peaceful home surrounded by woods adjacent to the New River Gorge National River a short drive, or challenging ride on single track mountain bike trails, to historic Fayetteville, WV.
The house has two private bedrooms available, the larger room has a queen sized bed. The smaller room is very tiny and has a queen sized bed, little table, a chair and not much more. Feel like you are in the middle of nowhere only 3 miles from town.

Colleen's place was a warm haven on a cold night- a great place to come to rest after our long drive. The house is conveniently located for a hike on the trails, and for bird watching from the porch. Colleen was warm and welcoming- her advice about local places to eat, and things to do in the vicinity was great. We loved the breakfast, and the bed was very comfy too, but the highlight of our stay was probably Colleen's excellent cure for cold feet! We would definitely stay at Colleen' place again.
Colleen's place is amazing, definitely the perfect place to stay in the beautiful Fayetteville. She was our host during the three days / two nights we stayed, cooked breakfast for us and gave us great tips on what to do / eat in the surrounding areas. Her place is surrounded by nature, colorful and lively during the day and quiet at night. Great for star gazing and relaxing! All in all, an exquisite getaway in the mountains of West Virginia. Hoping to go back some day!
A beautiful home in the middle of West Virginia's wilderness, and yet, only a few minutes from Fayetteville's cute downtown area. Colleen was very helpful with directions to her home given it's remote location and was equally accommodating once we arrived, providing maps and guides to the area and personal recommendations. We were in Fayetteville to go whitewater rafting and Colleen, herself a former rafting guide, was kind enough to lend me some equipment--a hostess that will definitely go out of her way to help her guests! We enjoyed her home very much--huge, gorgeous porch with an idyllic view of the surrounding forest. We highly recommend if staying in the area.
Colleen was a great host and her house is a perfect spot to take in the West Virginia natural beauty. Colleen surprised us with fresh fruit, tea and a delicious breakfast with ingredients from the farmers market. She also provided good recommendations of restaurants and walking trails. Would highly recommend and plan on staying with her again when we return.
Colleen was excellent! She was accommodating, communicative and helpful! Her place is spectacular - tucked away in the hills - the trails provide wonderful adventure and the property is wonderfully landscaped. Would gladly stay there again
Colleen was a great host and her place is ideal for quiet, stars and nature. Thank you for having us Colleen, and sending us on our way with fresh baked bread, such a treat.
