Enjoy sunsets from this idyllic waterfront home with expansive views of Johnson Bay. It is perfect for your get away. It offers all the pleasures of home with easy access (3/4 of a mile) to the village of Lubec , 1 mile to the bridge to Campobello Island and 4.5 miles to West Quoddy Head Lighthouse.

The space
Your host's great grandfather was a famous Lubec boatsman, Captain Cook. The host has traveled to and from Lubec for +50 years and has relatives in the area. Her mother spent many summer's working at the Peacock canary. The memories are deep and rich of wonderful times spent in Lubec. Don't miss a lobster roll at The Dragonfly, homemade chocolate at Monica's and quench your thirst at Lubec Brewing Company. A trip to the area is not complete without a stop at Cobscook Shores and a walk through downtown Eastport, don't forget to buy some of Raye's Mustard!

Cobscook Shores is a system of eleven parklands dispersed along the southern and western shores of Cobscook Bay from Whiting to Lubec. The parklands are privately owned by Cobscook Shores Inc., a family funded Maine charitable foundation. The Parklands offer public access and recreational use including walking, picnicking, hiking, biking, camping and paddling in Cobscook Bay. Cobscook Shores Park System offers access to miles of undeveloped beaches, bluffs, coves and islands away from roads and automobiles. The system is unique on the East Coast of the United States for the miles of undeveloped shorefront, incredible natural beauty, and dynamic tidal ecosystems.

Your hosts are available to answer any questions and help plan the 'must see' bucket list items.

This lovely waterfront two story 3 bedroom cape with back deck provides a peaceful respite for visitors of all ages. There are plenty of cozy areas for the family to settle in an unwind after a long day of hiking, kayaking and adventuring. All bed mattresses are new for 2021. The kitchen is well equipped to prepare your meals and a propane barbeque grill is available for outdoor cooking. Besides the newly remodeled full bath there are two 1/2 baths - one located on each floor.

Enjoy s'mores over the fire pit or play a game of horse shoes and croquet . A basketball hoop is also for your enjoyment.
