Welcome to my lovely Wimbledon home, perfect for the Tennis and visiting London.
When you stay with me this is your home for the length of your stay.
I have a lovely summer house in my large garden, which is perfect for the Summer. Traditionally they were built as a sheltered refuge from the heat of the day, or in the case of husbands/wives looking for a bit of switch-off time, a perfect place to curl up with a book and a glass of wine, sketch or listen to music .
The summer house (which has electricity) has a small double bed with a bedside table and lamp, and a small wardrobe, with an oak table (mini fridge/tea & coffee facilities) and two wicker armchairs, and can accomodate up to 2 guests, as long as you don't have a lot of luggage! It is a fun option for staying in London.
I have also had a guest staying this January when it was snowing who was very happy and booked again for a return visit. Heating and electric underblanket did the job well, so as that option is now available, then it will no longer have to be a "summer" house:)
*** Fresh towels and linen provided ***
*** Wi-fi internet ***
Help-yourself breakfast, if wished, as well as tea and coffee throughout the day, is included in the price.
Guests will need to use the shared bathroom in the house, which has a loo, bath, bidet and shower. There is also another separate loo with a wash basin.
Wimbledon is a charming and peaceful area, although it also has a vibrant night-life. For those interested in the Arts, there is plenty on offer here. It is the perfect place to stay in London and a stone's throw from everything. It has easy access to shops, restaurants and transport. I am very close to Wimbledon Tube station, with great connections into Central London. I can also arrange parking permits for a small fee.
I look forward to hearing from you.
All will be explained upon arrival.
Had a fantastic 2 weeks with Annette, using her Summer Garden Room. As a hostess, Annette could not have been more helpful and the facility was exactly what I required: good bed, strong internet, room to myself and the ability to come and go as required with disturbing anyone. The provision of a self serve breakfast was ideal and always well stocked!! No complaints.... and I'm sure I'll return !
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in the garden room; it was quiet and cozy. Annette was a wonderful hostess and made sure that we felt like we were living in our own home. This little treasure is highly recommended!
I stayed with Annette while I went to the tennis at Wimbledon. Annette was a brilliant host. She was very helpful with information and couldn't do enough for you. The accommodation was excellent too, lovely and cozy and as private as you wanted it to be in the summer house. I really enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to do it again. I would most certainly recommend this to my friends. I had an excellent time and wish to say a big Thank You to everyone involved, but special thanks to Annette for opening her home in this way.
Annette is a very friendly, sweet, thoughtful, and positive host. It seems to stay at your own home or even better.

I'm an enthusiastic 50's girl who loves listening to all kinds of music and enjoys reading. Theatre, art, and cinema are on the list, as well as BBC documentaries, wildlife and interesting cooking/travel programmes. The horse-racing world is also another interest of mine. Keeping fit in mind and body - without being fanatical! Enjoying the beauty of nature ( also when gardening ) travelling and meeting people and having great discussions! Italy is top of my travel list as it has so much to offer.. and I also love cooking. I speak English, French, Italian and Arabic.
