The Space

Welcome to my lovely Wimbledon home, which is on the ground floor, so no stairs to battle with! and perfect for the Tennis and visiting London during the year. When you stay with me this is your home for the length of your stay, so please treat it with respect. (If anything is broken or damaged I will charge you for it.)

This is a cosy bedroom which has a unique fitted wardrobe, designed by myself (hence the "Quirky" bit!) and can accommodate two guests comfortably. The room can be configured either as a twin or a double room, as when the beds are pushed together they form a SuperKing bed. Guests are treated to very comfy pocket-sprung beds, as well as fresh towels and linen. There's Wi-Fi internet and the room has a TV with Freeview channels.

Help-yourself breakfast, if wished, is included in the price. You are also welcome to use the kitchen - as long as you tidy up after!

The house has one shared bathroom with a loo, bath, bidet and shower, and there's also a separate loo with a wash basin. I also have a lovely big garden and a summerhouse, which is also listed as a fun option to stay in.

Wimbledon is a charming and peaceful area, but also has it's own buzz of activity, offering a variety of artistic and culinary choices to add to your visit. It is the perfect place to stay in London and a stone's throw from everything. It has easy access to shops, restaurants and transport. I am very close to Wimbledon Tube station, with great connections into Central London. Parking permits can also be arranged for a small fee.

I look forward to hearing from you.

  • We had a really good time in Glendale Drive with Annette. We spent two weeks studying english and enjoyed our time at home because we could practise English too. The room was big and comfortable and she is nice and kind and she is always willing to help you with everything. She is a very good host!

  • We had a lovely stay with Annette who went out of her way to make our stay a really enjoyable one. The first evening she not only booked an excellent restaurant (cote) for us to eat in, but also took us there and made sure that we were ok before leaving. We knew when booking that we would have to leave too early in the mornings to have breakfast, so asked Annette if she could do us a little something to take with us, she remembered without any reminder and it was delicious. The room itself was only small and we had to share a bathroom, but the beds were comfortable, we had all that we needed and we didn't encounter any problems re the bathroom. We would happily stay there again, thank you Annette for your part, in making our visit such an enjoyable one.

  • We had a great stay at Annette ' s place. The room was great. Annette was a terrific host. She gave us tea and wine and was very welcoming. There was a mix-up with the price which should have been higher but Annette honored the lower price. Thank you again. I would stay there again without any hesitations.

  • Thanks to Annette for welcoming my son, Andrew, and his friend into her home. She was responsive to my many e-mails and was most helpful in orienting the boys to the neighborhood. This was my son's first trip out of the USA on his own. Annette was kind enough to notify my of his safe arrival and then helped him to find a phone, etc. Andrew told me the room was comfortable and that Annette provided them with a nice breakfast. He felt very comfortable and well treated. I hope that I have the opportunity to stay here one day!

  • From the moment I stepped into Annette's beautiful home I was treated with warmth and kindness. The room was spacious, clean and extremely comfortable. It was only a few minutes walk to the busses and train station into the city as well as easy walking distance to Wimbledon town centre with its fabulous shops, pubs and restaurants.
I thoroughly recommend this quiet, peaceful getaway for everyone who enjoys a lot of pampering at a very reasonable price.
Thank you so much Annette for everything.

Keeping fit in mind and body - without being fanatical! Enjoying the beauty of nature ( also when gardening ) travelling and meeting people and having great discussions! Italy is top of my travel list as it has so much to offer.. and I also love cooking. I speak English, French, Italian and Arabic.
