Welcome to Ronan's airbnb. This beautiful eventful home is situated 1.2km from the center of the picturesque village of Kinvara and boasts a beautifully landscaped garden . Kinvara is the perfect place base for your trip around South Galway and North Clare; close to the Aillwee caves, Cliffs of Moher, Coole Park .
I am 0.8 mile from the village bus stop..but there is a sidewalk all the way....All buses will pick you up from directly outside my house...But for drop off you will need to let the driver know when you get on the bus and then that will be fine also...
In the village there is an outdoor pursuits shop where Mike hires out bikes for 14 euros per day which covers all insurance and safety gear ; lots of interesting and quiet biking routes around here ; either inland to the Burren or out onto remote peninsulas and islands. There is Lots to see in terms of ancient monuments and natural landscape.
This 1940's home has been welcoming guests for many years. The house is full of character and charm and all rooms are large and spacious. There is a kitchen for your use as well as laundry. I make great coffee for breakfast.
There is wifi internet connection to all rooms . There is lots of entertainment at the local village or else enjoy the comfort of staying in and sitting by a log fire.
(As you may gather I have 4 Airbnb listings but understand that they are all the same property : that's just the way Airbnb works ! )
DIRECTIONS; Continue out of Kinvara on the Ballyvaughan road heading west. After 1km there is a Topaz petrol station on the right and then a church, I am the second house on the left after this (DUPLEX / SEMIDETACHED). If you travel by bus then you can request the friendly bus driver to drop you outside the front door as this is a recognized drop-off point .
This room looks out over a beautiful garden below and the Burren mountains beyond. It has a double and a single bed . The bathroom is on the same floor and has a separate bath as well as shower.
A child cot is available at no extra charge. When the weather allows I like to breakfast and barbeque on the terrace.
The best way method to contact me is via the Airbnb messages [ not e-mail] also ... once you confirm the booking you will have my cell phone (handy) number ; talk or text

Ronan is a very kind, smart and open minded person! The communication was great and the room was too. We had a magnificent view to Ronan's beautiful garden and the room was lovely decorated with a lot of effort put into details. In the evening Ronan invited us to have a glass of wine with him, the other guests and a friend who played the guitar and the ukulele for us. We had a lot of fun and I just can recommend staying with Ronan to everyone who wants to make an unforgettable airbnb experience in kinvarra!
Thanks a mill Ronan! :)
This was the beginning of my stay in Eire, and it was wonderful! The home was lovely, the room spacious and comfortable, and the host very friendly and knowledgable about the sights and points of interest in the area. He has created a fantastic outdoor space with gardens and lovely stonework. And the same inside - really, with wood work a fireplace and cozy sitting areas. A perfect way for me to unwind after a long airplane flight and the associated jet lag. Many lovely hiking areas and other things to see close by. I will definitely make this a stop whenever I come cross the pond.
I received a warm welcome from Ronan. My room on the first floor looked over the splendid rear garden and the panoramic view beyond. The room was large with a clean comfortable warm double bed, in which I soundly slept. The room also contained two beautiful wardrobes with full length mirrors, a comfy armchair and desk space. I also had sole use of the adjoining large modern tastefully decorated well appointed bathroom with bath, wc and shower area. The shower was easy to operate and there was plenty of water pressure and temperature remained constant.
The internet was fast.
It wasn't far to walk into the centre of Kinvara and I dined in a restaurant there for 8.00 euros and the portion could have fed two. The service was quick and friendly.
Ronan was a very attentive host and I enjoyed my stay immensely, great homemade bread and jam Thank You Ronan
Kinvara is very beautiful and I Highly recommend staying at Ronan's and intend to return.
Ronan is a very interesting and jovial guy. We enjoyed our stay with him and his unique place. We came in late September so we were the only ones in the entire house, which was quite nice.
Staying with Ronan was probably the one of the highlights of our trip. The house is very eclectic and was right up our alley. The garden is beautiful and the house was clean, warm, and inviting. Ronan was a great host and spent time talking with us and hanging out in the evening. We had a pizza night one night after a long day of sightseeing and Ronan made homemade pizza in his pizza oven and we sat around telling stories and having a pint. If you are in the Galway area, staying with Ronan is a must and you will not be disappointed!!!
très bon accueil à Kinvarra chez Ronan Byrne , qui a plaisir à éĉhanger sur l'Irlande , son pays et bien d'autres sujets et présente une belle ouverture d'esprit .Encore merci!
Ronan's Cottage was a unique place to stay. I'm grateful I had the opportunity to stay 4 days and enjoy the comfort of the room & bathroom while meeting other airbnb people in the other accommodations at his home. The garden & artworks are a joy to explore. All was as Ronan has on his listing & his hosting was most generous & very warm. The non-urban environment was a feast for the senses and his home-baked bread & garden fruits spreads delicious. The pizzas are delectable, fresh from his pizza oven! The shared kitchen/living space with a warm fire at night enabled great conversation spaces.
I was able to visit the Cliffs of Moher & explore the Burren in a lovely relaxed day of easy driving & walking. The local village is within easy walking distance and has lots of variety including the waterfront out to Galway Bay & an organic farmers market on a Friday.
I had a lovely stay at Ronan's Cottage with good fun & joy in a precious & unique environment.
If you are lucky enough to get lodging at Ronan's, I say book it! His home is like no other. You have your choice of lodging options and I was able to stay in both the treehouse and the larger apartment with fireplace and killer bathtub. Both places were grand! When waking up in the secluded treehouse, you are greeted by three grazing horses. The larger apartment is so cozy and provides everything you need. In terms of Ronan, he is a truly gifted artist, gardener, chef and host. I was traveling solo and he made feel part of his fun world as soon as I stepped off the bus (in front of his home!). He had a fantastic pizza night in his wood burning stove. His garden and art are so lovely it's difficult to put into words but I do know it was as close to being Alice in Wonderland as I will ever be. Thanks again Ronan! I will be back;)
Ronans place was perfect for me and my 8 year old daughter.
We had our own space. A sitting room, table and well equipt kitchen. Upstairs was a large bedroom with a double bed and single and ensuite bathroom.
We had access to the garden either out our front door or via the house. The garden is just lovely. We enjoyed swinging on the unusual swing in the evenings and trying to find the turtle in the pond.
The cottage is easy to find as its on the main road.
Ronan is a nice person to chat to and very helpful with hints and tips and how to use the cottage. His creations in the garden are inspiring.
Kinvara is a lovely place to visit we found a great cafe 'The Purple Hedgehog" as recommended by Ronan and we went there every day for delicious smoothies.
We relaxed back at the cottage in the evenings and when our 3 nights were up we didn't want to leave.
I'd definitely recommend Ronans place and we will be going back.
Nice stay at Ronan's. Ronan is very nice and very helpful. Room was nice and large. We had the bathroom for ourselves. Since it is in the countryside, we could hear birds in the morning. Very nice backyard and garden.
