Welcome to Ronan's airbnb. This beautiful eventful home is situated 1.2km from the center of the picturesque village of Kinvara and boasts a beautifully landscaped garden . Kinvara is the perfect place base for your trip around South Galway and North Clare; close to the Aillwee caves, Cliffs of Moher, Coole Park .
I am 0.8 mile from the village bus stop..but there is a sidewalk all the way....All buses will pick you up from directly outside my house...But for drop off you will need to let the driver know when you get on the bus and then that will be fine also...
In the village there is an outdoor pursuits shop where Mike hires out bikes for 14 euros per day which covers all insurance and safety gear ; lots of interesting and quiet biking routes around here ; either inland to the Burren or out onto remote peninsulas and islands. There is Lots to see in terms of ancient monuments and natural landscape.
This 1940's home has been welcoming guests for many years. The house is full of character and charm and all rooms are large and spacious. There is a kitchen for your use as well as laundry. I make great coffee for breakfast.
There is wifi internet connection to all rooms . There is lots of entertainment at the local village or else enjoy the comfort of staying in and sitting by a log fire.
(As you may gather I have 4 Airbnb listings but understand that they are all the same property : that's just the way Airbnb works ! )
DIRECTIONS; Continue out of Kinvara on the Ballyvaughan road heading west. After 1km there is a Topaz petrol station on the right and then a church, I am the second house on the left after this (DUPLEX / SEMIDETACHED). If you travel by bus then you can request the friendly bus driver to drop you outside the front door as this is a recognized drop-off point .
This room looks out over a beautiful garden below and the Burren mountains beyond. It has a double and a single bed . The bathroom is on the same floor and has a separate bath as well as shower.
A child cot is available at no extra charge. When the weather allows I like to breakfast and barbeque on the terrace.
The best way method to contact me is via the Airbnb messages [ not e-mail] also ... once you confirm the booking you will have my cell phone (handy) number ; talk or text

Cute cottage with much personality!
Ronan is a very kind, smart and open minded person! The communication was great and the room was too. We had a magnificent view to Ronan's beautiful garden and the room was lovely decorated with a lot of effort put into details. In the evening Ronan invited us to have a glass of wine with him, the other guests and a friend who played the guitar and the ukulele for us. We had a lot of fun and I just can recommend staying with Ronan to everyone who wants to make an unforgettable airbnb experience in kinvarra!
Thanks a mill Ronan! :)
This was the beginning of my stay in Eire, and it was wonderful! The home was lovely, the room spacious and comfortable, and the host very friendly and knowledgable about the sights and points of interest in the area. He has created a fantastic outdoor space with gardens and lovely stonework. And the same inside - really, with wood work a fireplace and cozy sitting areas. A perfect way for me to unwind after a long airplane flight and the associated jet lag. Many lovely hiking areas and other things to see close by. I will definitely make this a stop whenever I come cross the pond.
I received a warm welcome from Ronan. My room on the first floor looked over the splendid rear garden and the panoramic view beyond. The room was large with a clean comfortable warm double bed, in which I soundly slept. The room also contained two beautiful wardrobes with full length mirrors, a comfy armchair and desk space. I also had sole use of the adjoining large modern tastefully decorated well appointed bathroom with bath, wc and shower area. The shower was easy to operate and there was plenty of water pressure and temperature remained constant.
The internet was fast.
It wasn't far to walk into the centre of Kinvara and I dined in a restaurant there for 8.00 euros and the portion could have fed two. The service was quick and friendly.
Ronan was a very attentive host and I enjoyed my stay immensely, great homemade bread and jam Thank You Ronan
Kinvara is very beautiful and I Highly recommend staying at Ronan's and intend to return.
Ronan is a very interesting and jovial guy. We enjoyed our stay with him and his unique place. We came in late September so we were the only ones in the entire house, which was quite nice.
Our stay at Ronans House, or Utopia might be the better word for it, is among my top 3 weeks of all times. Ronan has the gift of making everybody feel welcome and comfortable. Kinvara is the sweetest little village with 8 pubs, which i actually never saw from the inside because we loved to spend the evenings at Ronans House. The entertainment there was all we needed. We met the most interesting people and had so much fun. I also really loved to hike the Burren- Landscape and the shores near Kinvara..it can never get boring and im really glad we decided to spent all our time left in Kinvara. Ill be back next year. Thank you dear dear Ronan!
Ronan was a marvel. He has this mind that is continually a step ahead of everyone else and wears himself out trying to pull his ideas into reality. He picked us up at a bus stop since we were on public transport and gave us orientation on the area. He's was very thoughtful in arranging for a tour of the Cliffs and Burren...at a moments notice. The room was great overlooking his beautiful garden and the flowers were amazing as were the fresh potatoes and onions. We would recommend Ronan's place if the person booking retains the thought that there is an Artist in residence.
I thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Ronan. He is a kind host (important to those like us who travel with kids) with a good sense humor. He is a talented gardener and generously offers anything in his garden to those staying with him. For instance, we prepared a delicious meal with fresh garden vegetables, fruit, and various spices – it was so refreshing after a week of eating out to have a home-prepared meal with organic produce! Ronan is also a skilled builder – the treehouse in his backyard is fascinating and his yard is filled with interesting nooks and crannies. I highly recommend it!
Ronan was very friendly and welcoming and the house is in a lovely location in Kinvara (about a mile or less from the town centre, a couple miles from a small castle, and about 45 min from the Cliffs of Moher). That being said, Ronan's house was very cluttered and dirty. The house is under renovation, so I could understand why parts of the floor were unfinished. However, that does not excuse the dirt and dead bugs in the bathroom (most notably in the bathtub) and the flies in the bedroom. Also, loud music was playing until after 11pm. It was a Saturday night, so for someone interested in staying up that would've been fine, but my husband and I were tired from exploring the countryside and would rather have had some peace and quiet. Overall, this would be a fine place to stay for a younger person interested in hostel-like accommodations (and the price is right for that), but if you're looking for something quiet and clean, this is not for you.
Staying at Ronan's was one of my best decisions I've made in Ireland. Very artful and open-hearted is he and his place and style. Kinvara is a wonderful spot too. Come and enjoy.
