Interaction with Guests
We'll welcome you and provide a detailed neighborhood guide.
Park Slope is a low-rise victorian neighborhood with tons of street life, parks, restaurants, bars, shops, entertainment, and easy transit all around the city.
There are 3 subway lines a 5-7 minutes walk away, and a bus on the corner, which is a five minute ride to Barclay's Center, with 11 subway lines and the LIRR. Car service available 24-7.
This is our home, please take care of it. We require that you keep it reasonably clean, take out the trash, and don't smoke.
This is a family block -- entertaining is fine, but no loud, late parties.
The host left us a nice basket with snacks, chocolate bars, and a bottle of wine. The apartment was as described, just perfect for us. The neighborhood was great. The apartment was just a half block from 5th Ave in Park Slope with coffee shops, restaurants, etc. all within easy walking.
My family and I have just spent two wonderful weeks staying at Andrea's home in Brooklyn, New York. We were there for Christmas holidays and NYE. We rented the entire house and fell in love with it immediately. It is large, bright, comfortable and situated in a perfect location.
Park Slope, the neighbourhood where the house is, is gorgeous. Great for long walks (especially Prospect Park) with lots of fantastic restaurants and all the amenities/stores you might need. The house is literally right in the centre of everything so really convenient for travel, dining, shopping etc. We really loved exploring the surrounding neighbourhoods too, especially Brooklyn Heights and Cobble Hill. Gowanus was also really interesting and very close by.
During our stay, we travelled in and out of Manhattan quite often. Andrea's place is conveniently located close to several different subway stops so depending on where you want to go in Manhattan, it's super easy to get there. We loved spending time in Manhattan but were always really happy to get back to Andrea's home after a long day in the city.
Andrea was a terrific host and sent us a great neighbourhood guide before we arrived. We used this guide all the time and especially loved the restaurants in the neighbourhood she recommended. There's a couple of additional places we discovered which were fantastic - Bonnie's Grill for the best chicken wings in NYC and a seafood place called Littleneck for delicious oysters and clam rolls, yum!
We wholeheartedly recommend this amazing place and thank you to Andrea and her family for allowing us to use it, it really was a home away from home!!
It's a great family home in a great location. Lots of good restaurants in the area and just across the road from a child friendly park.
Andrea made us feel very welcome and her ideas for things to do in the local area were spot on
This is a perfect place for a family with kids or a large group to stay. The brownstone has beautiful details, multiple bathrooms, a washer and dryer for longer stays and a nice, modern kitchen. Having two floors with bedrooms was really nice for my group; we had two separate families, and were able to make sleeping arrangements such that each family had a floor and a bathroom to themselves.
The house is also in an amazing location! It is on a beautiful, broad, tree-lined street in park slope, just around the corner from a park and playground for kids of multiple ages. It is also close to several subway lines and tons of restaurants, cafes and shops. We had a great time and I would definitely recommend Andrea's place to others.
Our family stayed in Andrea's home when they were in town for a family wedding. The house is lovely and is in one of the most enjoyable, beautiful, people friendly neighborhoods in all of New York. We had a magical time--and the house was perfect for group cooking and family meals. Morning tea outside. The best naps. Beautiful, spacious and cozy, warm home. It made the weekend absolutely magical.
