About this listing
A beautiful and sunny canal-side apartment for rent in the popular neighborhoods of Kreuzberg and Neukölln, lovingly called "Kreuzkölln" these days. The hippest and most lively neighborhood in town!
The flat is located directly on the beautiful Landwehr-Canal, close to the famous Turkish farmer's market (Tuesday and Friday). It is an area abounding with restaurants, cafes, hidden bars, famous clubs and various street markets.
A short walk will bring you to the spacious Görlitzer Park, or to the bustling Oranienstrasse (main street of Kreuzberg). And it's also only a few minutes from the convenient transport connections at Görlitzer Banhof (U1 subway) or Schönleinstrasse (U8 subway).
Sun shines into the large windows throughout the day. The first room is furnished with a nice big double bed and an extra sofa bed, and the second room has 2 single beds, and there is also a sofa bed if you need an extra place for a 6th person! The flat has a big living room and a cooking/kicthen area with all modcons (diswasher, washing machine, refridgerator, etc.)
- You will also have 2 BICYCLES to tour the bike friendly streets and neighborhoods of Berlin. Save some money on transportation, and see more of the city!
***The bikes are an extra feature and they are not guaranteed to be in perfect condition..***

**We are happy to say that we receive our electric power through a company that uses 100% renewable and sustainable energy sources, independent from the electricity-stock-exchange and big energy corporations.
**We would like to let you know that a big part of your payment goes back into funding art, theatre, dance or music projects and ideas. So YOU contribute directly towards an growing independent art community in our neighbourhood.
Please keep the flat tidy and respect our neighbours. NO LOUD MUSIC after 10pm is the law in Berlin. We don't have anything against gettogethers and socialising, but please DON'T USE THE FLAT FOR EXCESSIVE PARTIES. Thank you!
Host was very easy-going, location is great to explore the Neukolln area (for example Oranienstrasse) and close to supermarkets and the subway. This apartment has everything for a nice time in Berlin!
The apartment was really cool and comfortable, the location was perfect and the hosts were really easy to contact. I highly recommend this place!
The place was very spacious. Great spot by the canal. It's a very hipster area. Use the bikes they provide!
The place is gorgous - the photos are most accurate! Perfect location and we were warmly welcomed! Definetely recommended for a comfortable stay in Berlin!
The check in went smoothly. We never met Timur, but Christina was on site when we arrived. The apartment is located on the first floor, which is great if you are tired of hauling luggage up flights of stairs like we were. The apartment is much more lovely than it appears in the photos -- very, very high ceilings & two large bedrooms along with a spacious kitchen & living area & separate bathroom with a washer. The space has a lot of artistic flair that gives it a real Berlin vibe. The neighborhood is Neukolln, which is filled with tons of restaurants & cafes, plus two grocery markets very nearby. There is also a very good bakery for morning treats on the same block. The apartment doesn't face the canal, but the building in which the apartment is located is just across the street from landwerkanal. Timur offered one bicycle with our stay & we rented 2 more from a little shop a few doors down -- if you are out at night, careful -- the bikes don't have safety lights. (Try & bring your own if you know you'll be biking at night. In Betlin they bike on both the sidewalk & the street, but pedestrians & autos aren't particularly mindful of cyclists -- so, be alert. There is also a great used stuff flea market with clothes, records, & good food right across the street along the canal on Sundays. We biked to Kreuzberg's main shopping area in about 10-15 minutes from there we biked to Mitte & then Prenzlauerberg. The round trip took all day with sightseeing, but was a super adventure.
We loved our short stay at the Canal flat - Timur was really friendly & helpful. The flat was really cool & in a great location, close to a market, grocery stores and heaps of awesome bars & restaurant. Would recommend Hunter's bar, ask for Michl - the best cocktails we have ever tasted!!
The beds were really comfortable & the flat is super close to the busy areas, but is nice & quiet so you can rest here in between your adventures. It has all you need & we would have loved to have stayed longer. The communication was great all the way through - our friends even left their passports behind (and were leaving that night) & we were contacted really quickly and picking them up was so easy, thank you. Thanks for the fantastic stay!!
