About the Apartments
-We have three one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartments. We live in one of them part-time.
-This unit faces the rear of the building (Southern exposure). All three of our units have great natural light, but thanks to the large trees in front of its windows, this apartment enjoys shade for most of the afternoon.
-The building is a very well-maintained, 1920's historic apartment building in the SOFA Arts District.
-Hardwoods floors throughout, all original fixtures and moldings. Charming kitchens with original icebox intact.
-All three apartments have large, picture frame windows; loads of light.
-Freshly painted, spotless.
-Sparsely furnished, each with full bed, stocked kitchen (tools/cookware) and full bath in modern-ish aesthetic.
They are lovely, no-fuss apartments and we are hoping to find folks who will enjoy them as much as we do. There is ample street parking. The building is quiet, only three units on the floor.
Perfect for cyclists enjoying SoCo; there's room in each apartment to store two bikes, maybe three. There is a floor pump available.
About the Area
SOFA (South of A Street) is home to Santa Rosa's arts community. The apartment is located between several points of interest (see map for guidebook). A new neighborhood bistro has opened downstairs - The Spinster Sisters. Picturesque Julliard Park is a block down the street. An .8 mi bike ride/walk away is the Fourth Street shopping and restaurant district which includes the well-known Russian River Brewery. Locally-owned Atlas Coffee shop is one block away. Historic and quaint Railroad Square offers more restaurants (American, Thai, wine bars) and speciality shopping, like antiques. The Spinster Sisters restaurant is downstairs.
Things To Do (See guidebook for our other apt, "Sunny Base for yr Sip & Cycle")
You can be sipping and cycling within a few miles of leaving South A Street. Walk two blocks north from the apartment and you are on the 22 mi. long Prince Memorial Greenway, which runs along the Santa Rosa Creek as far as Sebastopol. It is as perfect for exercise as it is for taking short or long explorations to other destinations in the area. Visit the Sonoma County wineries by bike throughout Russian River and Dry Creek Valleys. Do the incredibly scenic 50 mi. loop to Occidental and back. I'm happy to share any info on the area, just let me know what you'd like to do during your stay.

Eric was easy to get in contact with and very responsive to any questions that I sent his way. My boyfriend and I weren't able to get to the apartment until late after check-in, and Eric made sure to let me know that our late arrival wouldn't be an issue--and it wasn't!
The apartment was simple and comfortable. We were very appreciative of the clean and homey space, and really felt like we could relax on our "stay-cation." In addition to being so pleasant, the apartment is located in an amazing spot that's walking distance to everything in Santa Rosa. We had a fantastic breakfast at the restaurant below the apartment (Spinster Sisters), and were able to grab a morning coffee at a nearby cafe (Atlas Cafe).
If you're looking for a comfortable and charming getaway space, I would highly recommend this spot. It met all the criteria we were looking for, and offered a nice home-base after our packed days of beer touring and drinking.
Thanks for a great stay!
We enjoyed the location and easy access to downtown. Fairly quiet with an old building charm.
We booked very last-minute, but they still got back to us right away and check-in could not have been easier or more flexible. The apartment has a great location, and it's above an awesome restaurant/cafe. Parking was also very easy. The apartment itself was roomy and clean (except for some ants in the bathroom). Nothing fancy, but for the price and location I would definitely recommend this place, and I'd certainly stay here again whenever I'm in the area. Thanks again for a great stay!
Great location; spacious apartment as shown in photos. Tons of space, clean, above a yummy restaurant (Spinster Sisters) and near park and cute cafe. Eric was great - in contact by email, left clear instructions to get into the unit.
The bed is a double bed which was a bit too small for two people - the apartment would be ideal for one person as-is, or for two people if they were to put in a queen bed.
Great host. Good locations. Excellent restaurant below.
Apartment 2 was a little loud due to the AC for the restaurant outside the window.
This is my go to location whenever I need a temporary home in Santa Rosa! Great air B&B rental. Thanks!!
