The Old Town of Gallipoli is an island, surrounded by antique walls and connected to the land by a small bridge. As you can see you're right in the centre of it...This is east. If you're more than one the amaca will be a problem!

Old fishermen house right in the heart of the island of Old Gallipoli. One of the nicest terraces in town with a breathtaking view on the Cathedral and the Jonian sea.
A few minutes walking from parking, Puritate beach and fish market.

The space

First of all consider this: this is our place, so don't expect a hotel with immaculated walls, same colours towels and chocolate on the pillow!

The flat is inside an old buiding in the heart of Gallipoli Old Town (2nd and last floor). It consists of a roomy, fully equipped kitchen, a main bedroom with a double bed plus a single one, a second bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom: total of 70 square meters. A wooden stair leads to the upper floor where lays a wonderfule terrace (same area: 70 square meters) from wich you overlook the whole island and, all around, the Jopnian sea. It's our "main room" where we spend most of the time when we're at home: breakfast, lunch, siesta, aperitive, dinner... A barrel roofing protects by the sun and a costant breeze keep it cool (Tramontana, Libeccio o Scirocco). There's a dining table, a comfortable amaca, a small but efficient bbq, a sink (cold and hot water), a washing mashine and, at night, amazing starry sky!
The building faces a small court, two alleys and Carmelina's apartment (she's a very sweet neighbour and lives there the whole year). Being right in the centre of the Old Town, in five minutes walking you reach all the points of interest of the area: the S.Agata Cathedral, the fish market, a number of shops, the amazing Puritate beach, a number of very fine restaurants. And just losing yourself among the narrow alleys of Gallipoli it's a charming experience. Every other day a small van adventures itself till your alley to sell fresh fruit and vegetables from the countryside (you'll clearly hear the vendors calls).
As long as you are in the Old Town you don't need any mean of transportation, exept for a good pair of sandals. If you get there by car, you have to leave it at the port parking and, in five minutes, get up a stair on the antique walls a walk two blocks till home.
Sounds, scents, lighs and colours are unforgettable!

We would like to recommend one things: there are five sleeping places and this means that a maximum of five people is allowed.

It has been a magic week in Gallipoli, and big part of this is also due to the fabulous apartment we're staying in. I absolutely recommend it, the terrace view worths by itself the price of the rental, besides that you have the chance to really live the "old town" feelings.

If you are looking for the best location in old Gallipoli, this is your place! The bohemian apartment provided a hidden gem in the old town with closeness to everything. Ivonne & Carlo are excellent hosts, attentive and really quick to respond or providing tips of their favourite things in Gallipoli to see or do. Overall a great experience and a terazza worth going for just itself, you will have an unspoilt 270 degree of city/ses view and can privately watch the sun set in the ocean. Grazie per tutti Ivonne & Carlo!

thanx Christer, good point...we'll work on it. we're really happy (and proud) you enjoyed our place, every time it makes us feel good (even if it's a sea, not an ocean ;-) ciao and good luck!

Well situated in the middle of Gallipolis historical centre. The apartment is charming and has got a nice personal touch. The terrace it's lovely and the view over the town and the sea is absolutely stunning. The description of the house is mostly accurate, however the house is not equipped with a proper WIFI. You are provided with a mobile Wifi router with 5 GB data allowance. Forget streaming and video calls otherwise you will find yourselves offline within hours. Upon our intervention we received extra 10 GB. The owners were not in town and appeared not to be too well informed about the developments in the house. The neighbouring terrace in the house was refurbished during our stay. The men at work started their noisy duty punctuality at 7 am every morning. We were not too amused.

Grazie!
