Brilliant place. Because of the jungle environment & humidity, extra effort required for cleanliness n maintainence was somewhat lacking.

Just a lovely stay -whimsical in so many ways . Christian and his crew felt like family and were very gracious . Staying there felt like this long satisfied sigh.

We loved our nearly week long stay in the Jungle Queen boat room. Breakfast from the fruit trees, a nice ocean view from our private porch (stern of the boat), and incredible stars all around. The big island is magical and staying at the Rainbow B&B made it that much more special. The Jungle Queen boat house is perfect for an adventuresome couple who doesn't need fancy finishes (or a door to the toilet) and prefers a unique and memorable experience. We would definately stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay in the boat. The deck had a gorgeous view of the ocean and felt super secluded. You'll love it!

My girlfriend and I stayed in the fern room for two nights and loved it, the scenery was beautiful and Christian was very kind. Christian gave us some local beta for the island and it turned out being our best day of our trip. Breakfast was great, although it's really unfortunate Air B&B won't allow home made breakfasts anymore, sounds like it his breakfast are amazing but he can no longer serve them to guests.

Response from Christian:
Thanks Daniel. Well, we will still have a great breakfast with fruits and homebaked bread etc. We are just not supposed to serve eggs and banana pancakes according to the state health department ! But its ok if our guests boil their own eggs so that's how it will be from now on ! There's a solution to every (weird) problem...

Christian's little boat was a great place to spend our last few days on the Big Island. It's super close to all the best snorkel spots on the West of the island and close to all the amenities you could need. The location is wonderfully secluded and the view is incredible - especially sunset. We made good use of the jungle kitchen and the snorkel gear Christian makes available to guests. In short, a fantastic and unique place to stay that suited us perfectly. We'd recommend it, especially is you're after something a bit different and want to enjoy the snorkelling.

Accidental tourist that got stuck here...
Lived 10 years in Honolulu, but escaped the crowds and stress and traffic and moved over to the BIG island of Hawaii. The best island...
Have owned and run the Rainbow Plantation B&B for 5 years now, where I live with my daughter Amanda 11y.
Great area to be and see, come check it out ! We'll be happy to show you around and help you get the most out of your vacation !
