Great quiet and cozy place! The Jungle Queen is perfect for a single person. The location and the abundant assortment of plants (mac nut, coconut, coffee, etc.) gave it a good jungle feel. It was interesting to be greeted by wandering peacocks in the morning. Christian and the staff were really helpful during the stay. I hope to return again in the future!
Stayed in the Jungle Queen for 3 nights and it was just as described. Very cute, comfortable space with a great view off the back. Christian was very welcoming at breakfast, which is served on the lanai in the main house (with an even better view!). Very close to several great snorkeling areas. Will definitely suggest this to friends!
Christian, thank you for your last minute accommodations, Cece was very welcoming and we really enjoyed our stay! I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the views at breakfast were incredible! I'll definitely plan on staying with you again.
We enjoyed the privacy of the boat and its ocean view. Only drawback is very low water pressure (OK for washing thin hair, but impossible for thick hair) and the accommodation could be cleaner. Breakfast was more than adequate. Christian is very knowledgeable and helpful. The rental car rate he got us beat any other I could find. He also got us a good deal on a half-day fishing trip, which he joined. The Rainbow Plantation is within easy hiking distance of Captain Cook monument, which has great snorkling. You can even swim with dolphins there! We had a wonderful stay.
What a lovely experience!
The Jungle Boat was great fun & the bed was so comfortable.
Christian is a gracious host & his banana pancakes are the best.
Everything was just as posted & we'll certainly stay here again if we get back to the Big Island.
The rainbow plantation was a magnificant place to stay on Big Island. Christian hosted us very well. If something has to be organized like the manta ray snorkling event he did it for us. The breakfast was great - cereals, fresh bread, jam, fresh fruits like mangos, passionfruit, avocados, bananas etc from the own garden. We really enjoy the self picking of the fruits. It was a quite area like in the jungle. Only the chickens make some noices in the morning but this was for us no big deal. The condo has a large bed, a bathroom and a small fridge. There is an open kitchen in the "jungle" which need some cleaning. Nevertheless we would stay again at this place.
Christian was very nice and knowledgable; more than happy to answer any question about the island. Even though I arrived late to the B&B, Christian quickly showed me the way and let me settled into the room. The room was awesome- a boat that has been remodeled into a suite with bathroom and living area. This is definitely a great place to stay!
