We look forward to hosting you!
We feel it only fair to warn future clients to be sure to read ALL the info on the room. Read all the text to the bottom. As you have to pay more money in cash when you arrive. The price listed, which you will pay to reserve, is not the final price you will pay. We did not realize that, and did not want to pay more upon arrival. We emailed Chris, who never returned our email. So we had to contact AirBNB customer service about it, and they contacted Chris, who then finally returned an email, but was rude and unprofessional. Since Chris has a "strict" 50% return policy we could not then cancel without losing half the money we had already paid. It was all a bit cheeky.
Also, this photo is not what this room looks like. There is no couch. My hubby arrived first, and had to wait out in the cold for someone to finally bring the key, and mean while the "psychics" kept hassling my husband to buy their service in the "Psychic" shops below the apartment.
We were a little disconcerted by how smelly and shabby the building is. Also, there are two long flights of stairs and no elevator, so if you have heavy cases and/or walking difficulties do not rent here.
The room is not nice. It is run down, dirty, and old, and the sheets and room smelled of smoke.
We were not pleased with the room, or service, or host. Our friend was staying in the Holiday Inn just a block away, for the same price, and her room was much nicer.
The only Pro about staying here was the very central location, within walking distance to a great many things to do and see.
Esta muy bien ubicado, equipado con lo justo y necesario. Volveremos!
We loved this place. The location is excellent. Walking distance to times square and so many eateries. The olace was clean and tidy and in excellent condition. Thanks again, will def recommend to anyone
Muy buena ubicacion. practico. market 24hs abajo del depto. buena calefacción. muy comodo todo.
We liked the location very much, within walking distance to Lincoln Center. We knew the studio would be small and basic- and it was. However, we did not expect to be without a tv ("the cable box got wet a few days ago"), nor did we expect the lack of supplies- not enough toilet paper or towels for our 5 days and near empty bottles of bathroom soap and dish soap. There were half-consumed items in the fridge. The communication was poor (emails unanswered before our arrival) and nothing done about the tv, despite several attempts at speaking with them. We left after 2 days and were very happy to get a refund for the days not used from Airbnb. One other disconcerting thing- we were asked by our host to say were their "friends," should anyone ask. Not a great experience.
The apartment is very well located, has good distribution but their maintenance is terrible (the TV did not work, the table was broken, etc). With bad weather we had to plug holes in the window so that heat is retained. What's worse is that no one showed his face. Chris and Jose never appeared, greeted by a family who suggested that if anyone asked, we said we were family. No one replied to our messages or respond to our question about what to do so just withdraw, leave the key under the mat entrance. Definitely not recommended.
Great location, broken table, smelly sheets, on an off electricity, nice host, good value.
Such a great place to stay & close to everything we wanted to see (Central Park, Times Square, shopping & restaurants, subway stations).
Chris was very helpful - will definitely be recommending this place to others!
Communication inexistent, they NEVER get your calls and they don't call you back... Check in really uncomfortable! The apt is cold and the heater js so loud that we woke up during the night! Tv and table broken.. We definitely DON'T RECOMMEND this place!
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
