  • We absolutely loved staying here. The house and setting was perfect, and everything was as described in the post. Every part of the house is nicely done and well thought out, making for a really comfortable and relaxed stay. There is nice sunlight inside, and the surrounding land is gorgeous.

  • Tess and Sean's place is truly sweet and a peaceful retreat. It's close enough to the main streets of the surrounding towns for farm markets, restaurants and Cafe's, but set back enough to make you forget that the City is a mere couple hours drive away.
I was absolutely enchanted by all the moments of dappled green light that filtered through various windows and skylights. We enjoyed our meals out on the picnic table and reading on the hammock.
It's a great area for hiking and we found a lovely hike to a waterfall not far up the street from the house.
They were both very responsive and it was easy to set up the details of arrival and departure with them. We hope to be able to rent their spot again

  • It was a cute house with a lovely backyard. It is too bad we had to cut our trip short.

  • My partner and our two friends wanted to spend a quiet New Years Eve together in the country with our two daughters. Tess and Sean's place was perfect. It is a great cozy house in great condition, with a lot of light and a great kitchen for cooking. And the area is beautiful in the snow! Also Tess was very flexible and responsive and gave us very clear instructions for the house - I would definitely recommend a Catskills getaway here.

  • We had a lovely stay at Sean and Tess's house. It is as pictured. They provided us with very good instructions too. It hs everything you need. It is close to Mohonk reserve. If you go there think of a breakfast or lunch at Egg's nest, coffee at Last Bite on your way to the park and a dinner at New Paltz, do not forget to visit the Huguenot street! Thank you for letting us stay at your place. The only real drawback for us was not a very comfortable bed. All the rest was very good. Thank you.

  • We spent a long weekend here and had an amazing time. The house is exactly as pictured- very cute and cozy and perfect for a relaxing getaway. We went to sleep at night to the sound of crickets and woke up to birds. Tess and Sean left excellent instructions and the house was very clean and in great condition. We would definitely go back and recommend the house very highly to anyone looking for a quiet time in the country.

About
My husband and I live in Park Slope, Brooklyn. We love to take walks in Prospect Park and the Botanical Gardens. We often go up to the Farmers Market on the weekends and also love to try out all the new restaurants that pop up in the neighborhood. I grew up in Park Slope and have never wanted to live anywhere else in NYC.
