**TECHIES/STARTUPPERS WANTED!** Are you a startup founder or entrepreneur? I run a startup, too, and love to network with other startup founders and company owners. This is part of what makes Airbnb so fun--let's meet!

I own this house and my fiance (Brian) and I live in it. We're in one of the best neighborhoods in Austin--Allandale. We are south of the 183 just off Burnet.

Dog/cat lovers will love this one! (We have both--and we keep the house extremely clean.) Beautiful master bedroom in 1750 sq.ft. house. You get your own place to sleep on a luxury memory foam mattress (king size!) There's also a desk and chair, so you can chill out with your laptop, as well as a TV, and some places to plug in your stuff. And--a closet and dresser where you can hang or place items.

It's a pretty big room--about 12x12. This room is extremely QUIET--it's incredibly peaceful and looks out on our back yard.

--QUIET: Very peaceful neighborhood/room. Sleep well with virtually 0 noise.
--Your own bathroom (shower + bath tub + sink)
--Free and convenient street parking right outside our house
--Free coffee/tea (Keurig coffee maker)
--Free use of washer/dryer
--Free Wifi
--Fridge space (fridge has very nice water filter on it)
--Kitchen space (the kitchen is fantastic--my fiance is an amazing cook and we have a fully stocked kitchen with a Vita-Mix, gas stove, oven, convection oven, microwave, etc.)
--No keys required: We give you a passcode and you'll be able to use that to get into the house. Never have to worry about a key!

Within walking distance, there is:
--A beautiful park with ponds, swings, and more
--HEB grocery store (15 minutes)
--Alamo Drafthouse Theater on Anderson (20 minutes)
--30+ restaurants, bars, etc. (And the requisite Wal-Mart.)
--A coffee trailer!

An easy 15-20 minute drive to downtown. U-T is about 15 minutes away. AND the #3 bus is literally less than a block away and will take you directly to U-T with no transfers in 22 minutes, or downtown (6th & Congress) with no transfers in 36 minutes. Plenty of street parking is available, and the street is extremely safe and quiet.

Our wedding is in 2015 and we'd love your help at making it extra special and amazing. Come stay with us, enjoy Austin, and get a good night's rest while you're at it!

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Erica and Brian were great hosts. They have a fantastic room/bathroom in their house which is situated in great neighourhood. If you enjoy running, there are many local parks closeby. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The bed was fantastic - memory foam mattress with memory foam pillows. These made for a great sleep. I appreciate that Erica and Brian really invested the time and effort into the two things that travelers want most - a great bed and a rain-shower. Check-in was simple, and Erica maintained prompt communication with us when we were delayed in our check-in. We had a fantastic time in Austin, and enjoyed all of Brian's great restaurant recommendations. We would highly recommend this Airbnb to others.

  • Erica and Brian were great. They were friendly and helpful but not overbearing, which is perfect for hosting people in a home. The place was perfect for my stay, as I just needed a nice, quiet room with its own bathroom, close to the neighborhood I was visiting.

The room is the master bedroom and it has an en suite full bathroom and a door from the bedroom onto the back deck. The bed is new and comfortable, and they keep the a/c at what I thought was a perfect temperature, too.

Also, their location is just far enough from downtown to still be in a part of Austin that feels like the way Austin used to feel before it got so trendy. There's a park nearby, great Austin classic places to eat, and a quick bus ride into the thick of downtown. Also, there were car2go smart cars half a block away, which is pretty cool if you're not into renting a car for the duration but need a car occasionally. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

  • lovely stay at Erica and Brian's quiet home in Austin. Room was spacious and bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on! Will definitely return!

  • This was a great place to stay. Very convenient to downtown and very Erica was very hospitable. I would definitely stay here again and will try my best to book again for next year's sxsw.

  • In Austin for SXSWedu and on a non-profit budget, I turned to trusty AirBnB, and as usual, I wasn't disappointed.

Erica and Brian's place is further out than I'd realized, but Austin's great public transport system meant that it wasn't a problem (there's a bus stop 3 mins from their home, with buses every 30 minutes and that run pretty late).

I had a very comfortable stay, and found a few local places to eat and drink. Highly recommended!

  • Erica and Brian were the most awesomest hosts. Very welcoming and a cozy bedroom with a private bathroom. They gave my wife and I a ton of great restaurants in the area to try, including Salty Sow, the Best Wurst and Central Market to name a few. You CANNOT, I repeat, CANNOT leave Austin without stopping by Tacodeli at least once. The pork belly tacos are to die for!!

While we were out on the town for most of our stay, Brian and Erica had all of the necessary essentials for a quiet and unobtrusive stay. If you're looking for a nice place to stay that's close to everything, but just far enough to get some peace and quiet, be sure to stop by for a night or two!

  • Most comfortable bed ever! Great foam pillows. My fiancée can be a fussy sleeper sometimes, and she had some of the best rest she's had in a while.

We were in the master suite and had plenty of room. The room was simple, clean, and we had plenty of drawers and closet space for our clothes. It's very comfortable to have your own clean bathroom.

Also we were quite busy with wedding planning and were coming and going all day long. Our hosts gave us plenty of space and privacy as we kept busy. They were friendly whenever we ran into them.

Overall we were very happy with our stay and I'd recommend this room to anyone looking to have a comfortable and fun time in Austin!

  • Erica and Brian are a charming young couple and the room in Daugherty St is comfortable and quiet, and was ideal for my purpose. Have no hesitation recommending it. Easy to get the bus downtown, and getting around on the $2 "day pass" is more than economical! Was a bit complicated getting there for the first time, so I got a taxi.Taxi ride from University area, and also to the Greyhound bus station was about $20, so that wasn't too bad either.

  • This was my first AirBNB experience and it'll probably be hard to top. Erica and Brian were excellent hosts: very friendly, accommodating and accessible (Brian had quite a few excellent food recommendations - every place we tried from his list was top-notch!). The place is exactly as described - clean, quiet and convenient. I only wish our schedules had lined up a bit more so that we could have gotten to know them better!

  • Erica and Brain are real cool and friendly people and the room was amazing..definitely the best place I've ever stayed through AirBnb. The room has a big memory-foam bed, desk, bathroom feels like it's own apartment.. The place is in a good location with a good place to eat across the street and quick access to the highways that will take you wherever you want to go..
