A unique, cozy, and peaceful stay in gold rush country. If you want to slow done and enjoy the beauties of the foothill life then this is the perfect spot for you.

The space
This train is located on the historic Golden Chain Highway, now called Highway 49 named after the 49ers who came seeking their fortune. Just a short drive to Yosemite National Park and nestled in the foothills of a California gold rush town, the Caboose is a part of the Vacation Station, a decommissioned train that has been lovingly converted into a vacation rental.

The Caboose is a studio style space with a queen size bed, a kitchen with foldable table, the original cupola (a raised seating area), a full bathroom with a back door and a Roku Smart TV. We have provided everything you will need to live, cook and play while you stay.

Guest access
You have complete access to the Caboose except for some locked storage spaces. You also have access to use the shared patio.

Other things to note
**Please be advised that there is a unit next door(boxcar) that could also be in use. **

**This is a rural area and there are bugs, especially in the summer. We do our best to eradicate bugs in the living quarters, but some still do find there way inside.**

*We highly recommend doing any grocery shopping before arrival unless, you want to make a trip out of the area to a nearby grocery store. We are located in a very rural area and the closest market is Dollar General.*
