Bright and airy apartment in the best part of Vancouver. Three blocks to Kits beach and a few minutes to downtown. You get the best of both worlds - urban living and a peaceful neighbourhood.
In the heart of the Kitsilano neighbourhood of Vancouver ("north of 4th" as the locals say). The apartment is only a few blocks to trendy shops, restaurants, pubs, grocery stores (including a Whole Foods, Safeway and liquor stores) and Kits beach.
Downtown is a short and easy bus, bike or drive over the Burrard Street bridge. The apartment has a spacious living room and cozy bedroom with a treed corner window.
The building is a classic Kitsilano 1950s three-story walk-up. It has original hardwood floors, which are a bit beat up, pink sink, tub and toilet, all of which add charm, but if you're looking for a flashy apartment, this is not the place.
The building is pet-friendly so there are dogs in the building. I have a small dog myself, but of course he would not be there when you are there. The place is kept clean of dog hair as much as possible, but it would not be a good place for someone with allergies.
The location has a Walk Score of 92, which is VERY good, comparable to New York City, meaning almost anything you need is within walking distance.
Parking on the street is free; however, there is a 2 hour time limit Monday-Saturday 9:00-5:00. There is free unlimited street parking 4 blocks away.
I sell furniture so furniture in my apartment will change, but it will always be a warm and cozy place to be!
From West 4th Ave (half block away) take bus #4 or #7 to downtown. About 10 min. Cabs are $10-15 one way to downtown. Or ride a bike in 15 minutes. (bikes can be rented nearby) (Vancouver has lots of bike-friendly lanes)
From West 4th Ave (half block away) take express buses #44 or #84. About a 20min.
From West Broadway St (five short blocks away) take express bus #99 B-Line. About 15 min.
From West 4th Ave (half block away) take bus #84 Express, get off at the Canada Life. Take Canada Line ("Skytrain) to the airport.
TO KITSILANO BEACH
Walk three blocks.

The apartment is located in a great neighborhood, close to restaurants & shops, and a short walk to beautiful Kits beach. The living room is bright and cheery and the apartment is clean. Overall, this is an excellent value for the price (especially compared to Vancouver hotels) and offers a nice way to experience Vancouver from a local's perspective while still having easy access to all of the touristy sights around town. Noise & bedroom light wasn't an issue, but Bonnie provides ear plugs and eye masks just in case.
I think it is good to know the following so there are no surprises: I found the bed comfortable though my husband thought it was a soft. The cabinetry and floors are worn, and the kitchen is small. The building entry and hallway leading up to the apartment is dingy and musty. That is not true for the interior of the apartment but to know for the sake of first impressions. No view, but the city is one massive postcard...again, just good to know since you cannot tell from the photos.
I'd recommend this apartment to friends who understand that this is a place that comes with some quirks but delivers on light & location at a very fair price.
Bonnie was great, flexible with checking in and out which was important as we arrived very early and left late. Location is excellent, walk to anywhere in Kits.
I enjoyed my stay at Bonnie's place. It was clean, cozy and in a very convenient location. Bonnie was very accommodating when it came to arrival and departure times and always responded quickly to emails. Highly recommended!
Bonnie was a great hostess. She responded to all emails very quickly and allowed us to drop off our luggage before check in time. The apartment is in a great neighborhood with lots of food, shopping, and easy access to public transportation.
The building is old and the hallway smells like a wet dog. Once you're in the apartment though, it's clean and bright. The mattress on the bed is very soft, so those with back pains probably wouldn't do well there. We couldn't get the tv remote to work, but there was WiFi so we could use our laptop to watch Netflix on our downtime. All in all, this was a nice place to stay for a weekend.
Bonnie's apartment was just what we needed in terms of location in beautiful Kits and features. The bed is one of the best I have ever slept in - so comfortable! Check in was easy with Bonnie keeping in touch quickly to answer questions. It couldn't have been more perfect for us and we hope to return on our next visit to Vancouver.
Many thanks Bonnie.
I had a great time in Bonnie's apartment. Everything is very clean and the location close to 4th avenue and Kitsilano beach is excellent. Bonnie had all perfectly arranged with keys etc so no problems whatsoever. Also it is very quite at night although you can hear easily hear the neighbors through the thin walls. On the downside is the not so nice staircase but once you are in the apartment it is great. I would definitely stay again.
We had an amazing Time in Vancouver - the Apartment is in the Perfect neighbourhood - a Lot of Nice Bars, Restaurants and Shops just one street away and three Minutes to the beach. The Apartment was tidy and clean. Thanks for a wonderful stay :)
Bonnie's place was just as advertised. Great location, easy accessibility to multiple bus lines, quite and clean.
Wonderful place in a beautiful city and amazing location in the heart of Kits!!
