La Viletta is our lake front family holiday home on Lake Maggiore. It started life as a restaurant in the 1920’s, it was bought and rebuilt by our grandad in the 1950’s and has been much loved in the family and ever since. We think it is the perfect place for a holiday, with direct access to the lake and beautiful views. We would love for you to experience it too.

The space
Sleeps 10 in 5 bedrooms, best suited to 6 adults (in the 3 rooms with ensuites) and up to 4 children (in the rooms with bunk beds and 2 small singles).

On the top floor there is a double bedroom with en-suite and a private terrace. There are two further rooms on this floor sharing another bathroom - one with two single beds and one with a set of bunk beds.

The middle floor features a twin room with an en-suite and private terrace and also a double room with an en-suite and direct access to a it’s own large terrace.

The bottom floor has an open plan living area including a dining table that can comfortably seat 12. There is a also a living room with ample seating and a kitchen kitted out with everything you would need.

Outside there is a huge terrace with stunning views of the lake and mountains. The terrace leads down directly onto the Lake, which is perfect for wild swimming, sometimes there is beach depending on the Lake water level. There is also a garden to explore and enjoy.

Aside from relaxing in the sun and playing on the lake there are plenty of options to keep you entertained in the area.

There are countless pizzerias and trattorias in the nearby towns and villages where you can enjoy the local food and drink. There are also weekly markets at nearby Cannobbio (Sunday) and Luino (Wednesday) where you can browse and pick up delicious local specialities.

It is possible to take a boat trip down the lake to visit the Boromean Islands, the gardens at Villa Taranto or Stresa

There are great opportunities to do a wide variety of walks in the hills and woods around the villa, and further afield. It would also be a great base for a cycling holiday, with the world famous alpine passes within striking distance.
