About This Listing
Appartement in a more calm area than the city center but very well communicated to the city center and the airport.
The metro is 5 min from home and it takes 15min to the city center.
It's a 3 bedroom flat. We have a bedroom with 2 beds, a single bed bedroom and a double-bed bedroom.
2 bathrooms one with a bath and the other one with a shower.
2 balconies, one on the front and a narrow one one back side, by the kitchen. You have a 4 people table in the kitchen, that optionally you can move it into the front balcony, to have quick meals.
You have sun in the early morning and in the afternoon and evening.
We have a piano and a guitar. Stereo player. One computer running GNU/Linux. One TV with a DVD.
Washer, drier and dishwasher.
Besides a car exchange, I have a park place for the car in the same apartament. It's connected by the elevator. That's very confortable if you plan to visit by car.
The flat is on old area of a ancient town that nowadays is part of Barcelona. That's the reason why the streets are narrow and there's not too many traffic. But also is near from the main highways that comunicates with the rest of the country. Have a look on the (website hidden) maps:

Commercial street with all that you need at the most 5 minutes from home: supermarket, fruit and vegetables shops, fish shop, pharmacy, bank... busy during the day, but quiet at night. It's one way street, with wide sidewalks and trees. A virtual tour to the street: Gran de Sant Andreu. (website hidden)(phone number hidden).html?accio=detall
There is many services in the area. You can have a look at the link and select the services you're looking for: (website hidden)
- The bigest library of the city is 10 minuts walking from the house. You can borrow music (CD's), films (DVD), books in many languages and guides. Opens daily, even Sundays. It's called Can Fabra: (website hidden)_esp.htm
- The bigest shoping mall at 10 minuts walking from the hause. You have over 200 shops of many difent kinds. It's called "La maquinista". Virtual tour: (website hidden)
You have the metro "Sant Andreu" L1, 5 minutes from home and it brings you into the city center(Plaça Catalunya), the old area, in less than 15 minutes. Metro opens until 24:00 during workdays and until 2:00 Fridays and Sundays. Saturday night is open all night. The metro is the best way to visit Barcelona: Sagrada Familia, Les Rambles, Parc de la ciutadella, Parc Güell, la Pedrera, Montjuïc, Tibidabo...but for me the best is the old part, specially at night: plaça del rei, plaça reial, la Catedral, Santa Maria del mar...
Don't miss festivals or festes Majors. Especially "els castellers" and "el correfoc".
You also have a train station called "Sant Andreu Comtal" 5 minuts from home. You have direct trains to the nice South coast: Sitges, Vilanova i la Geltrú, Torredembarra, Tarragona( that use to be roman city)... and to the Port Aventura Park. You also could go to north or west making train exchanges, or to airport.
We expect the guests to be polite and respectfull.

Nice apartment with a balcony in a quiet area with easy access to the centre - had everything we needed as a family of 4 with teenagers of the opposite sex who need their own space. The pictures give you a fair idea of the place - the kitchen was well equipped and the balcony with plants had a table and chairs which was nice for an evening meal. The parking space in the basement (the way down is a bit tight - not for learner drivers!) was a bonus as we could leave the car and explore by public transport. We didn't meet Sonnia and Roger, only their friend Leti, who was welcoming and helpful. The only slight problem was communication about how to get there from the motorway (we don't have gps) and the directions we were given by Roger were not very clear - we did a tour of the city before finding the place.
That said, it was good value for money. We had a great time - Barcelona is an amazing place.
Thank you, Sonnia and Roger, for your hospitality.
Excellent rapport qualite prix pour cet apt. Bien situe proche du metro avec de nombreux commerces de proximite.
A conseiller pour une famille.
We really enjoyed our stay at this appartment. It was a good location, very near the metro and within 10 minutes via metro in the city center. The apartment was clean and had all the ammenities we needed (wifi, dishwasher, washing machine etc). The beds weren't great but overall it suited all our wishes!
My family and I stayed at Roger's apartment for a few nights and had a great experience. The place was very comfortable, clean, and organized, just like in the pictures. It was also well located, only a couple blocks away from a metro station and the train to the airport. Roger was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended!
Abbiamo fatto tantissime foto.
Grazie Roger alle prossime vacanze.
Geweldig appartement, dichtbij metrostation L1 Sant Andreu, 15 min. vanaf centrum Barcelona.

About the Host, Sonnia & Roger
I'm Roger (36) and my wife Sonnia (31).I'm a teacher of Computer Science, Sonnia is KinderGarden teacher.
We love music, dancing, literature, laghing, good wine, good conversations and good company.
I'm willing to host people who really would like to experience a Catalan family atmosphere willing to share more than just get a place to stay overnight . (I've been for a long time part of CouchSurfing, the problem is that in big cities you have so many posts asking for couch that is impossible to keep up. So I think that this could be a more easy and fair way to travel and also meet people)
I' feel like a traveller since I was an Exchange student in Canada in 1992. I'm allways ready to travel and willing to do it but unfurtunatly I can't do it often enough. I've 3 kids to take care of and that's what I do half of my time.
