This no extra fees Dog and Family friendly luxury~2000 square ft Seahorse Cottage sits in downtown Ocean Shores within walking distance to the dunes, beach, downtown shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Spend your day at these attractions or any number of close by activities and then come back and relax in luxury.

We provide no stair accessible urban/industrial luxury for families and friends to relax together or spread out into their own comfy spaces when they aren't adventuring.

The space
Enjoy modern luxury throughout this home. Some of the highlights include:

Technology- Most lights are controlled by smart switches that allow you to control the lights with your voice from anywhere in the house. No more turning off the bedroom lights and fumbling in the dark to get to bed. The same voice control can be used to play music on all or selected speakers, turn on or off the Roku TVs, or to ask about the weather. TVs are allow you to use the high speed Starlink satellite internet connection to watch free stream programing on one of many of our provided streaming accounts or you can use our guest network to connect your own streaming devices to use your own personal streaming accounts.

Comfort - Three dedicated bedrooms feature head adjustable bed frames (1 King and 2 Queen) with new memory foam mattresses and plenty of pillows. The lounge in the back of the house locks off for privacy and contains its own couch, entertainment center, and a luxury queen wall bed with built in desk. The huge living room provides a large modular couch to sit by the fireplace and/or watch a movie or play a video game with family and friends. Or sit around the 8 seat bar height dining table to play some cards or a board game (we provide a few if you don't bring your favorite). The kitchen provides yet another place to gather and relax at the in kitchen banquet table with comfortable padded bench seating.

Video Games- you or your kids have two areas to play Xbox or hook your own devices up to one of the 5 TVs. The xboxes have access to online play and a guest account with a sample of games. or try to get a high score in the classic arcade style standup pac man cabinet.

Security and Contactless access - In these times of Covid, our contactless check-in process keeps you safe. You will be provided a custom access code that is personal to you for the duration of your stay that allows you to come and go without a key. Perfect for those trips to the beach where you don't want to carry anything in your pockets. We also have security doorbells/cameras around the entrance points to the home to help keep you and the Seahorse Cottage safe. Note, cameras do have audio and video recording devices (in part to allow us to communicate with you if you forget your access code or how to use it), but they do not view into the interior private areas of the home.

Accessibility - The Seahorse Cottage provides one floor living with no steps to access anywhere from the parking area to the entire home. The walk-in shower features a grab bar for extra safety.

Work - Looking for a place to remotely work where you can quickly access all that the Washington Coast has to offer? This is your place. We provide high speed internet, one height adjustable sit/stand desk and the desk built into the wall bed in the Lounge. The couches and tables also make great work spaces if you have a full family working and/or schooling remotely. Note, the Starlink internet is usually fast, but in early stages and has occasional short coverage drops (normally just a few seconds) that may be noticed on video calls. If this could be a problem, we do have good cell coverage for important calls and/or hotspotting from your phone.

Eat - We have a great selection of nearby restaurants, but if you have your own chef with you or you just want to save on your travel budget, our kitchen provides all the modern cooking convenience you need and the IGA is just a half-block down the street to stock up on your ingredients. The kids and/or small groups will love the in-kitchen banquet and larger groups can spread out at the dining table and/or behind the couch bar seating in the living room. A BBQ may be provided for your use on the back patio upon advance request.

No Smoking - We ask that you keep the Seahorse Cottage smoke free.

Dogs welcome - We welcome well behaved dogs now with no extra fee. Please help to keep them off the furniture, don't leave them alone, and do your best to clean up after them so that we can continue to offer this availability without any undue fees or traces left behind for our guests who may not love dogs as much as you do. The back of the Seahorse Cottage offers a fully fenced patio and small grass dog run.

Parking- there is plenty of dedicated parking just outside the front door. For EV (electric vehicle) drivers, there is a regular 110 outdoor outlet close enough to parking for you to bring your own mobile EVSE.

Location/noise - one downside of our perfect location for accessing everything downtown Ocean Shores has to offer is we are right next to a (very fun) go cart track and fencing company that often starts work next door around 7 a.m. The modern Cottage is well insulated and these outdoor noises are usually unnoticeable inside - especially with inside background noise such as music, tv, or just conversation. Also, the neighborhood is nearly silent with no one around when the sun is down. Our guests have not been bothered by the surrounding activity. But we strive to keep getting 5 star reviews and avoid surprises, so if you are sensitive to noise and want to spend time outside the Cottage or require silence inside during the day, this urban luxury retreat may not be for you.

This former Eagles Aerie in downtown Ocean Shores was renovated into a beautiful living and gather space by a local luxury home builder. You won't be staying in a traditional neighborhood or on the beach, as your closest neighbors include a lumberyard, go-cart/amusement center and fencing company. Although you may be able to smell the Pacific Ocean being about a .7 mile walk from the ocean, this home is in more of an urban industrial environment that may be bustling with activity/outdoor construction related noise in the day and very quiet after business hours.

The street out front is very well lighted at night to provide well lit walks. Please make sure to see the specific location and that you are okay staying in an industrial area, with associated daytime noise. Our guests love the space for sleeping and hanging out, but this is not a traditional beach home, so ask us questions if you have questions.

My hobbies are traveling and experimenting with new consumer technologies. I believe the unconditional love dogs provide to their humans should be reciprocated. Family is my number one priority, and we love to travel together and bring our dog with when we can. We purchased and designed our rental property to bring all of these interests together and share a space with others that we ourselves love to visit. We love to host and serve our guests and hope they enjoy what we work so hard to make the best experience possible.

We offer self check-in without required interaction. We'll have the house ready for you with everything you need and provide instructions where necessary. We'll be available for email and/or phone, but we have day jobs so may not be able to respond immediately.

If issues arise for which personal service is needed, we will connect you with our on the ground maintenance contacts or provide information to guide you to solutions. We strive for earned 5 star reviews.

We do our best to provide user friendly technology amenities, but sometimes things could go wrong (e.g. a google home speaker doesn't recognize your commands, the internet is not connecting on your device, streaming services change or are unavailable). When this happens, we'll try to help if we can, but the technology may have to be considered an unnecessary luxury in a rare instance of it not working. But hey, board games and cards don't depend upon technology... :)
