Located in "Uptown" SLO, this duplex is in walking distance of EVERYTHING. Coffee shops, antique shops, restaurants, Cal Poly, The Mission, body spas & salons and downtown shops are all a short jaunt or you can wait at a nearby stop for the trolley to be your personal taxi around our quaint town.
San Luis Obispo is a picturesque town nestled in between rolling hills where cattle graze. Activities are plentiful with beaches, hiking, wine tasting, shopping, spa-ing, cycling, theatre, golfing....something for everyone!
We have a spacious gated patio in the front of the house that guest's are welcome to use. There is a back patio where the cars are parked that we prefer to keep private.
Interaction with Guests
We live here at the house so will most likely run into you on the property. Although the bungalow is a side by side duplex it is pretty soundproof due to the better construction and materials back in 1928. Therefore, it is possible we do NOT run into our guests and amazingly this happens quite often . We tend to let our guests be and encourage them to feel at home during their stay. If you would like to actually visit with us, we would be more than happy to meet you on the patio for a glass of wine.
We live in a very urban part of SLOtown. There is a lot of pedestrian/auto activity as we are surrounded by restaurants, coffee shops, and schools. It's very conveniently located and the neighborhood feels good, active.
We are about a 20 minute walk in different directions to the downtown "core", Cal Poly, and the train station.
The trolley and bus stops are very near by.
The airport is about 10 miles away.
If you drive, please be aware that this house is nearly 100 years old and the driveway is very narrow. If you have a larger vehicle or one that is very low, you may prefer to park on the street. There is ONE parking space allowed in the house parking. Any additional vehicles please find plenty of free parking on the street.

Also, there is no landline in the house. Sorry for the inconvenience.
My boyfriend and I had a delightful stay at this little gem. We had everything we needed to be comfortable. The location was great! It's perfect for a couple for a weekend getaway.
The house couldn't have been a more lovely place to stay. Very clean, cute, and comfortable with a front patio perfect for coffee or cocktails. Beyond the perfection of the house, the location is absolutely ideal. Within (short) walking distance of the entirety of down town San Luis Obispo filled with cute shops and amazing food, and if you really don't want to walk it is within one block of multiple restaurants and quality coffee. Juli made getting in and out a cinch with her clear directions. Would and will 100% recommend this house to all visiting SLO.
The bungalow was lovely, clean, and as advertised. Juli communicated with us promptly; though we never met her face to face, she was available by text immediately when we arrived. The place was perfect for a family of four, as our daughters stayed on the fold-out futon in the living room which could be closed off by double glass doors. We love the Steynberg Gallery next door for coffee and pastries and art, and Splash Cafe just across California for any meal. For everything else, we just walked downtown.
The reservation was canceled 10 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Great place. We were there for only a short weekend, but the bungalow would also be a nice pick for a longer stay. The place was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed. Terrific location between two cafes, a short walk to the grocery store, and near downtown shopping. My family loved our stay!
About the Host, Juli
My husband and I have lived in San Luis Obispo for a few years, building our businesses here and making it our home. We enjoy renovating this 1928 bungalow duplex that we live in and rent out the other half to visiting folks like yourself. We love this area of the Central Coast for it's simpleness, it's quiet scenery and it's magnificent coastline. For being such a small town, I am ever amazed at how many things there are to do around here!
