Our beautifully located and spacious brownstone offers you and your family the best of New York: a quiet, peaceful, warm neighborhood with easy access to all the city's thrills. Come spend a month this summer!

The Space

Park Slope *is* all that! We have rented our place to several families while we're traveling and they've loved it and the neighborhood. Easy access to Manhattan, too, of course.

Details: 3 levels (entry and then two floors). 1 master bedroom (you can see the Empire State Building!), 1 kids' room with 1 bunk bed. 2 full baths. Big and plentiful closets. Open full floor-through dining room, kitchen with dishwasher and stainless fridge and stove, living room, play area. Separate office. Laundry room in apartment. Wireless Internet, cable/DVR, Apple TV. A/C in living/dining/kitchen area, kids' room, and master bedroom.

Also: roof deck with table/chairs/umbrella and tiny grill, lovely view all the way to the harbor and the Statue of Liberty. (Ladder/hatch access.)

Location: Beautiful and desirable brownstone block in central Park Slope, convenient to F train and others, all shops / amenities / playgrounds / restaurants (upscale, neighborhood, and family-friendly), ice cream. It's hard to NOT just sit on our stoop all day and watch New York go by.

The photos are accurate except for these nice updates: new rug in living room, new dining table and chairs, A/C in master bedroom.

PLEASE NOTE: Full-term (4-week) stay strongly preferred. Requests for full stay will be given priority at this time.

If you're traveling with kids, you really can't do better than this.

Please contact us for more information. We'd love for you to enjoy our place.

Thanks!

Guest Access

Private roof deck, with agreement to follow all safety precautions. Laundry room in apartment.

Interaction with Guests

We will be out of the country. Our parents/inlaws live on the lower two floors, are super nice, and will be available for any problems or inquiries you may have.

The Neighborhood

Park Slope is friendly and beautiful, full of history, character, and a full range of amenities. Our block is a lovely and vibrant combination of families who have been there forever and newcomers who now never want to leave.

Getting around

The F train, which will take you anywhere you need to go, is 3 blocks away. Bus is 1/2 block away. All other trains (including Long Island Railroad) are easily accessible as the Atlantic Center hub is nearby.

Other Things to Note

PLEASE NOTE: Full-term (4-week) stay strongly preferred. Requests for full stay will be given priority at this time.

  • I've known Lynn for three decades now, and I guarantee that she is someone from whom you want to rent! She's super-reliable, and a much neater housekeeper than, say, I. She, her rabbi husband, and two lovely kids have a wonderful place that's within walking distance to really fun area of Brooklyn (shops, restaurants, park). As an ex-Manhattanite, I find the greenery and (relative) quiet of Brooklyn very peaceful. Good luck!

  • I'm not writing Lynn a reference just because she's been a friend for years now, or just because she lives in a great space in a fantastic location for anyone wanting to see the sights of the Big Apple but return to a real live home and neighborhood (one of NYC's best). I'm not writing it just because she's such a phenomenal traveler herself (I'm still sending anyone who goes to Barcelona the list of must-see restaurants and sights she sent me back in 2009). I'm writing this reference for Lynn because ALL of those things are true, plus she's a lovely, funny, gets-along-with-everyone kind of person--an ideal combination of warmth, courtesy, and respect for personal space. So host her or stay in her place or whatever: either way, she'll be fabulous. BTW, girlfriend LOVES good food and is an awesome cook, too: so whatever you do, make sure it includes shlepping her out to eat or taking her advice re: restaurants.
