Guest access
There's a gate at the front with an entry code you'll receive around 7am on your check-in day.

After passing through the gate, follow the winding road past the clubhouse, shuffleboard courts, playground, tennis/pickleball courts, basketball courts, and pool.

Make a right when you see a sign for "Horseshoe Bend." Follow that short street to Mario's Mini Mansion directly ahead of you. There is a reserved parking spot just for you right in front of it.

You will receive your entry code for the front door about 30 minutes before check-in (3:00pm) unless early check-in arrangements are made.

There is a pool/laundry room key hanging near the front door, and a "clicker" for the front and back security gate (so you don't need to use the access code) -- be sure to leave these items behind when you check out to avoid being charged for replacement. The pool key is $100 to replace, and the clicker is $150 to replace. We purchase them from the HOA.

Other things to note
I'm a local gal who was raised in Central Florida. There's a guidebook in the Mini Mansion with my recommendations on the best places to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner; off-the-beaten path activities, beaches, wineries, and more. If you're looking for something specific, feel free to reach out and ask! I'd love to help.

Checkout is 11 AM unless pre-approved in advance. Late checkout accommodations are subject to availability and prior approval. Unauthorized late checkouts will be charged to the guest at a half-day rate.

Smoking is strictly prohibited on the property (even on the screened patio). If a guest is found to be smoking at or in the property, the guest will be charged a minimum of $500 for damages.

Neighborhood highlights

Mario's Mini Mansion is in an idyllic, peaceful vintage holiday park called Vacation Village. It was built in the 1970s to house the General Electric employees who were working on EPCOT! Cool, huh?!

It's a place where you and your family will create unforgettable memories -- again and again! It's fun to walk through the neighborhood with its winding streets dotted with large, stately live oaks.

The Olympic-sized lap pool is heated, and you have full access to the shuffleboard courts, basketball courts, playgrounds, pickleball/tennis courts, car washing station, and picnic areas.

Outside the neighborhood, you're close to everything -- there are massage, nail, and hair salons within FIVE MINUTES of the neighborhood exit. You'll find gas stations, excellent local restaurants and bars, grocery and drug stores, cinemas, and all kinds of shopping nearby. Check the link in your messages a few days before your arrival for a super cool themed guidebook for the house. That's where you'll find all of my local recommendations!

Fitness fan? There are yoga, barre, and other studios, along with classic gyms like Planet Fitness, all 10 minutes away or less.

Love nature? Lake Louisa State Park is a few miles up US-27, but you have private access to Lake Louisa right within the community... with perks like a manmade beach, a fishing dock, and a picnic area with a charcoal grill. Swimming is allowed (watch for gators!) :) If you walk down the street to the left of the lake access and look for the Lake House sign, walk around the lefthand side to find a fishing dock with benches, easy water entry, and no grass, unlike the grassy picnic area. There is also a boat launch, but prior booking is necessary to unlock it. Ask the front office of Vacation Village (M-F 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 1pm).

Feeling touristy? The theme parks and dozens of major attractions of Orlando are all between 20-40 minutes away -- so are the famous Orlando outlet malls.

It's entirely possible your kids will never want to leave and you could even save the theme parks for another year 😜 totally up to you!!
