The Space

Update: Please contact me via email BEFORE sending a reservation request!

Fully furnished 2 bedroom apartment in the East Village, with a futon in the living room for more sleeping space if needed. This is a full apartment, with the large room containing a queen sized bed, plus computer desk and tons of closet space and a ton of dressers for clothing, and the smaller bedroom has a full size bed, dresser and closet. You'll have full use of the kitchen, with a working stove, full fridge, microwave, and dishes and cooking utensils here, plus the bathroom, and the living room, with a coffee table and the futon, so you have a place to sit if you want to stay in and watch tv, or it can be used as more sleeping space. Cable TV and wireless interent access included.

The apartment is less than 7 minutes walk from 4 major subway lines, plus surrounded by tons of restaurants, bars, nightlife, and live music venues. This area is perfect for both getting around during the day AND enjoying the best of NYC at night. 15 minute walk to Union Square, just one block to Tompkins Square Park, and less than 10 minutes by subway to Central Park, Times Square, Grand Central Station, Penn Station, Ground Zero, City Hall/Brooklyn Bridge, and Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Towels, sheets, and blankets are, of course, included, (and I have a spare umbrella if the weather gets unexpectedly nasty while you are here.) I live a few blocks away, and work from home during the day - so check in is very flexible, I'll be glad to give you a virtual tour of the area when you check in, and I'm always a phone call or email away to help you figure out where to go, what to see, and the best places to eat, drink, explore, and enjoy.

Looking forward to hosting you!

  • Sam was a very helpful and gracious host. We stayed at his apartment for 2 nights, the location of the apartment was awesome, 10-15 minutes train ride to most major tourist spots in NYC. Lots of activity and restaurants within walking distance to the apartment.

A recommander

  • Sam was a very engaging and attentive host, couldn't have asked for more. The apartment and its location was great, especially for the price. Our group of five were comfortable in the space. Great Job!

  • East Village ist a VERY good place to stay in NYC and so is Sam´s Apt. Sam is a very caring host. We (5) found coffe and milk, first-aid beverages and food in the unit and we really appreciated the flexible check-in and check-out because we had 3 different arrivals and departures. There is no street noise in the apt (all rear windows) and after an exhausting sightseeing day we really loved to come "home". Thanks for all, Sam!

  • My Mum and I stayed at Sam's for 15 nights and we had a wonderful holiday in NYC. The apartment is comfortable and cosy and Sam was great. He provided us with very helpful information about sights, sounds and the subway!! He also lives nearby so is very accessible if you need assistance. If you have the time it's great to just hang out and wander around the East Village it's a really easy place to spend time.

  • We had a pleasant stay at Sams apt. The apt is located around several bars and nice restaurants and just a few steps away of the Subway Astor Place. Although the bathroom was a little bit small but clean, the bedrooms had enough space for two people. The kitchen is big and there is possibility to cook on your own. Sam was very pleasant and helped me to get some cheap broadway tickets. I can recommend the place for sure, it´s worth the price.

  • We had a very enjoyable week long stay at Sam's. The apartment is quite small but was perfect for me and my partner. All basics are provided in kitchen, nice to have a small area to relax and watch TV/have a drink at the end of the day. Sam is helpful and was flexible when our flights changed. I would recommend this place, as the location is good and provides a genuine NY experience.

  • We were a group of four, staying for seven days in Sam's apt. and it perfectly satisfied our needs. Several bars and restaurants are just within a few minutes walking distance and Sam will give some advice which to choose, depending on your preferences.
We enjoyed our time there and Sam was a great host!
