Update: Please contact me via email BEFORE sending a reservation request!
Fully furnished 2 bedroom apartment in the East Village, with a futon in the living room for more sleeping space if needed. This is a full apartment, with the large room containing a queen sized bed, plus computer desk and tons of closet space and a ton of dressers for clothing, and the smaller bedroom has a full size bed, dresser and closet. You'll have full use of the kitchen, with a working stove, full fridge, microwave, and dishes and cooking utensils here, plus the bathroom, and the living room, with a coffee table and the futon, so you have a place to sit if you want to stay in and watch tv, or it can be used as more sleeping space. Cable TV and wireless interent access included.
The apartment is less than 7 minutes walk from 4 major subway lines, plus surrounded by tons of restaurants, bars, nightlife, and live music venues. This area is perfect for both getting around during the day AND enjoying the best of NYC at night. 15 minute walk to Union Square, just one block to Tompkins Square Park, and less than 10 minutes by subway to Central Park, Times Square, Grand Central Station, Penn Station, Ground Zero, City Hall/Brooklyn Bridge, and Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Towels, sheets, and blankets are, of course, included, (and I have a spare umbrella if the weather gets unexpectedly nasty while you are here.) I live a few blocks away, and work from home during the day - so check in is very flexible, I'll be glad to give you a virtual tour of the area when you check in, and I'm always a phone call or email away to help you figure out where to go, what to see, and the best places to eat, drink, explore, and enjoy.
Looking forward to hosting you!
NO smoking or drug use, please.
Please wash the dishes if you eat in.
If I'm unable to be there for checkout, please make sure you have everything, then leave the keys on the entryway hook.
Treat it as if you lived there all the time.
And have a great stay!
We stayed at Sam's place for 2 weeks, It was exactly as shown with plenty of space for 3 people to live comfortably. The place is very quiet at night, even on the weekends. As a host Sam was great, gave us loads of tips on where to go, eat, drink etc, he was always reachable by phone or email. As a first time Airbnb user he put my mind to rest by being such an informative, welcoming person The location couldn't be better, the east village has so many great places to eat and drink and you can walk to most places in 10-20 mins. Close to many subway lines (2nd Av, Astor place, 3rd Av, 8th street NYU) so getting around New York was a breeze. I would not hesitate to book Sam's place again, looking forward to the next visit already
Sam was great! We got in later than usual but everything was still easy with picking up keys and getting into the apartment. He was very communicative during our whole stay and answered all of our questions regarding the neighborhood. The apartment was just as described, very comfy and had the convenience of a kitchen. All of our beds were made when we got in and he also left us towels. The neighborhood was also great. We walked around with no issues and lots of great restaurants near by. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend and stay here again if needed!
Sam est un hôte très accueillant toujours disponible pour répondre à toutes sortes de questions. L'appartement est situé dans East Village, quartier très vivant, à côté de nombreux commerces et restaurants. On accède facilement à plusieurs métros à pieds.
The guest judged the apartment while I was in the process of cleaning, when it was still quite dirty from the guests who had just left minutes before. Sophie did not contact me like I asked when she and her friends left the airport, so I was nowhere near ready for their arrival. After they ran out of the unit before I could explain the details of the place, I cleaned up best I could before leaving for work. They came back later that day, and did not contact me or say anything for 3 whole days, before emailing me to complain at the very end of their stay that they were unhappy with the place, and the cleanliness. They also complained about the noise the neighbors made -something I have no control over. If I had been alerted at any time to issues with the unit or the noise, I would have happily come rushing over to fix them. I take a lot of pride in keeping the unit as clean and comfortable as possible, and am always happy to change things when requested, clean as needed, and address any other concerns - assuming I am contacted in a timely manner. This was not the case here at all.
