Fully furnished 2 bedroom apartment in the East Village, with a futon in the living room for more sleeping space if needed. This is a full apartment, with the large room containing a queen sized bed, plus computer desk and tons of closet space and a ton of dressers for clothing, and the smaller bedroom has a full size bed, dresser and closet. You'll have full use of the kitchen, with a working stove, full fridge, microwave, and dishes and cooking utensils here, plus the bathroom, and the living room, with a coffee table and the futon, so you have a place to sit if you want to stay in and watch tv, or it can be used as more sleeping space. Cable TV and wireless interent access included.
The apartment is less than 7 minutes walk from 4 major subway lines, plus surrounded by tons of restaurants, bars, nightlife, and live music venues. This area is perfect for both getting around during the day AND enjoying the best of NYC at night. 15 minute walk to Union Square, just one block to Tompkins Square Park, and less than 10 minutes by subway to Central Park, Times Square, Grand Central Station, Penn Station, Ground Zero, City Hall/Brooklyn Bridge, and Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Towels, sheets, and blankets are, of course, included, (and I have a spare umbrella if the weather gets unexpectedly nasty while you are here.) I live a few blocks away, and work from home during the day - so check in is very flexible, I'll be glad to give you a virtual tour of the area when you check in, and I'm always a phone call or email away to help you figure out where to go, what to see, and the best places to eat, drink, explore, and enjoy.
Looking forward to hosting you!
NO smoking or drug use, please.
Please wash the dishes if you eat in.
If I'm unable to be there for checkout, please make sure you have everything, then leave the keys on the entryway hook.
Treat it as if you lived there all the time.
And have a great stay!
Sam was very nice accommodating. He told us about the subways and was always there for us to assist through phone whenever we got confused.
We got more than we expected. So, If you are visiting New York and you plan to stay at Manhattan, you won't find a better place than Sam's apartment.
The east village neighborhood is amazing (with many reasonable restaurants and shops) and Sam is a phenomenal host.
Sam is an accommodating helpful host who was on the spot for us when we arrived and gave us lots of info and advice for our stay. The place is as advertised, in a great neighbourhood and was a perfect space for us, as a family of four with good sleeping arrangements and reasonable space to hang out.
Great host, great location. Apartment was exactly as shown in the photos and Sam was a fabulous host -- always available by text and super flexible with check in/out times. Perfect space for 3-4 people. Would definitely return next time we're in NYC.
Meeting Sam was the best introduction to New York. He was super friendly and helpful, and clearly passionate about sharing his love for his city! The apartment was just what we'd expected, and it was great to get all his local knowledge about the neighbourhood. Our stay couldn't have been better.
Sam and Kelly were very nice and hospitable. Sam kept in contact with me over text very frequently. They were flexible with us to arrive a bit early and leave our stuff while the other guests were there. Unfortunately, we didn't get to meet Sam but did meet his GF and she was very friendly and helpful. The location and apartment is decent and has the bare essentials you need. It is no Hilton but if that doesn't bother you then u will be fine. We just needed a place to crash for one night since we were just driving through and so it did the job.
Sam is very welcoming and accommodating. We appreciated his being available for later in the day check in and also allowing us to leave our bags in the apt for a bit later check out mid afternoon on day we left.
The apt is small for 4 persons, especially w the futon made up as a bed, but we all slept comfortably. Sheets soft & clean. Kitchen had coffee & otherwise served its purpose (tho need to finagle some cords to get microwave working.) SMALL bathroom w enough towels, & plenty of HOT water.. be careful as Sam suggests & check before entering.. it gets HOT.
Great location! easy commute to anywhere in NYC & wonderful basic & eclectic food/activity choices w/in blocks of the apt. Shows Blue Man Group & STOMP up the street, and we loved Jebon Sushi & Noodle House on St Marks Place, also a short walk away.
Basically a Spartan but clean, comfortable place w easy access and an amiable host at a very reasonable price.
