Everything was really nice. It is a very beautiful spot. Nice to comeback home to the refreshing pool after a long day trip around the countryside.
It was though extremely hot thise dates we were there. A couple og fans would have ben really good, though I guess it it is very rare that it gets so hot. We would highly recommend the place:-)
We arrived at the house in the afternoon and Anna greeted us immediately. She was incredibly helpful and friendly, full of recommendations for day-trips and information on the location of the nearest grocery stores, etc. She and her husband (whose name I can't remember but he is incredibly friendly and helpful) live on-property and they are always there to help out.
The place is gorgeous - just as the pictures make it seem. We were here during a beastly heatwave (the temps hovered around 100 every day) and our apartment, being on the ground floor, stayed cooler than those on the upper floors.
The pool (and the view from the pool) is lovely - salt water, to boot. It was incredibly hot during our stay so it was a popular place.
If you want quiet and a well-maintained place with friendly proprietors (we also lucked out with wonderful families staying in the same place), then come here. It's about an hour's drive from some of the most lovely Umbrian hill towns around and it's a lovely place to come home to at night.
Exactly as described, and more! This place was magical, and we treasured every moment here.
Excellent experience. Anna is a great host with excellent english and always willing to help to make our stay very enjoyable. We felt welcome. She gave us great tips about what to visit in the region and where to go for dinner. The house is stunning with an amazing pool.
We spent the most wonderful 10 nights here with our toddler daughter in August/September. A very quiet and restorative place to spend time, accommodation is very comfortable with everything that you may need, beautiful and large pool to lay by that overlooks stunning Umbrian countryside. Our hosts Anna and Massimo were lovely and welcoming, always available for anything we may have needed but were also not over the top at all. Our daughter was safe to run free over the property and loved the open spaces.
Good clean accommodation with a very large swimmingpool. The owners are doing their best to make it a pleasure stay if you have questions about the accommodation or the area nearby. A lovely little town nearby is Citta della Pieve. Looking for a good restaurant nearby (15km); try La Luna Nel Pozzo in Perugia (via settevalli 838).
For us it was the first time booking with airbnb and we will do it again.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Stone Farmhouse. This was a very pleasant place to stay in Umbria and served as a good home base for day trips to Siena, Florence and Assissi. The pool was lovely and we spent one whole day just relaxing and enjoying it. This was great for our teenaged daughters too! We did have a fair amount of difficulty finding the place with the directions provided. We recommend getting the coordinates and entering them on your GPS before you head to Umbria! We highly recommend Il Tempo, a restaurant with wonderful food and charming atmosphere in nearby Tavernelle.
