This sweet cozy cabin sits at the back of 3 acres in north Weaverville. The cabin sits at the bottom of a hill, behind a farmhouse built in 1917. This cabin was built in 1815, but moved to its current location 4 years ago and rebuilt. I reused every part of the original structure that I could. The square nails were saved to relay the living room floor. The ceilings in the bathroom and kitchen used to be the porch roof. The heart pine floor in the loft used to cover the log walls in the main room. The stone chimney was used for the current foundation.
A one bedroom loft upstairs and bathroom with a claw foot tub, this charming cabin offers relaxation and quiet. There is a simple built-in wooden ladder accessing the loft. A large screened in porch gives you complete privacy off the back of the cabin. This cabin comes with a washer and dryer, internet, and cable.
The kitchen offers a full size propane stove/oven and a vintage 1950's refrigerator, as well as a automatic coffee pot and all of the cookware you should need. The cabin is heated with a Jotul woodstove and cooled with portable air conditioner.
The cabin is just 2 miles from I26, on a country road. It is peaceful and beautiful.

My wife and I stayed here(with our pooch) for our 12 year anniversary and loved every second. Property description was completely accurate. The cabin is thoughtfully designed and absolutely gorgeous, with everything you would ever want, or need in this beautiful landscape. Hands down, it was the coolest place my wife and I have stayed on Airbnb, ever. We didn't get a chance to meet Kim, but Caroline was really great. She recommended some really awesome places to eat and drink for our anniversary. If you're going to Asheville, do yourself a favor and stay here. And stop bye Hole Doughnuts too, they will blow your mind!
My husband and I had a great experience staying at Caroline and Kim's cozy cabin. Upon entering the cabin we were greeted with a freshly picked bouquet of bright daffodils. The cabin was just as described and the perfect getaway for the two of us. It was filled with lots of little touches to make you feel right at home. The setting was very peaceful and quiet, the perfect place to rest and relax. I loved sitting on the back porch drinking coffee and listening to the birds. I also enjoyed meeting the neighboring goat! The location was off the beaten path but close to the areas we wanted to visit. We hope to stay there again when we return to the area. It was unlike any other place we have ever stayed. Highly recommended!
This cabin is truly a hidden treasure! The size was perfect for us, and the layout and décor were unique and one-of-a-kind. We had such a special and refreshing weekend; we look forward to going back again soon for another dose of relaxation! This place will stay in our hearts forever because it is where our engagement began! Thank you, Caroline, for sharing this place with the world.
We have visited this cabin for three week-long stays over the past couple of years, and love it more every time.
My partner and I had a gorgeous, relaxing stay at the cabin! The location and surroundings are beautiful and remote, and the cabin itself is ridiculously charming. Our favorite part of the day was breakfast and coffee on the back porch, listening to the birds and soaking up the fresh air. We would highly recommend a relaxing getaway here: all the rustic charm of a remote cabin with all the conveniences of a comfy, modern home.
This cabin is the perfect retreat. The outdoors and mountains of NC were breathtaking. The cabin's interior is perfectly curated and transporting. The only negative was having to leave.
What a perfectly perfect rustic cabin! The pictures are really accurate and the space is comfy and relaxing to say the least. We actually got about 5 inches of snow overnight while we were there and it was magical to wake up to. The wood burning stove kept us at a perfect temperature and the bed is very comfortable.
Thanks Caroline!!!! Can't wait to vacation with you again!
