This spacious totally secluded western themed cabin has everything you need for a home away from home surrounded by nature. During the day you have beautiful views of oaks, meadows and mountains, and at night, enjoy star gazing in the hot tub in this rare dark sky region of San Diego. Sleeps 4.
This site also serves a a retreat hub and glamping tents can be added for up to 12 people. It can include the Spartan which makes a great catering base and extra accommodation. See pictures below.

The space
Pinky's Bunkhouse is one of 3 unique artisanal accommodations located on Birdsong BackCountry Retreat. It offers guests the opportunity to really get away from it all in a untouched forest and chaparral setting but offers all the amenities one needs for a comfortable stay. In addition, we have developed 2 forest therapy trails that will bring your ability to slow down and connect to nature to a whole new level and encourage you to try it using our MP3 audio guide.
Our modern, full kitchen is stocked with cook and serving ware. Seating can be fashioned for up to 4 adults inside or larger groups outside on the lawn, or under the adjoining oaks. 4 additional glamp sites are available near the bunkhouse for groups up to 12. Safari Tents and furnishings available on request for extra cost. These additional primitive sites are only available to the same group as bunkhouse. The campsites cannot be booked separately . ​Dog owners welcome! We have a large fenced yard adjoining the deck to welcome your fur babies, while keeping them close by.

Daytime activities may start with making a batch of waffles (fixings provided) and coffee on deck followed by leisurely exploring and hiking one of the many trails on and off property. Afternoons, do a wine tasting at one of our local family vineyards and or visit the pie shop in Santa Ysabel for the evening's dessert. At sunset, hike up to Sundown Rock for an amazing view and return to cabin to handcraft a pizza or BBQ. Inside the cabin, wind down and curl up in front of fireplace with a glass of wine and movie or take a stress relieving hot tub. The living room with log mantle (created by Host Lane) fireplace has two long sofas that convert to restful twin memory-foam sleeping beds. This is the perfect house for couples, families, friends to getaway or to serve as a retreat hub for organized events.

Our Yoga Yurt which is open to all guests is fully equipped, has heat and AC , a tv monitor/DVD with several Yoga . stretching and Qigong tapes for a self guided practice.
